Affiliate marketing on blogspot? Hello, I live in Australia and I am just wondering if there are any affiliate networks which allow you to use a blogname.blogspot.com site (ie a sub-domain blog rather than your own top level domain website). I'm looking to make some money on my blog, other than adsense, and the only affiliate network I can find which doesn't specifically ask for a website url is clickbank (however I don't want to promote ebooks). Does any one use an affiliate network on their blogspot site that they could share with me? Any other comments/suggestions appreciated! Thanks in advance
Can anyone tell me what's so special about the Renegade Network Marketing system? I've spent literally thousands of dollars on various training CDs and books recommended by upline. I'm broke, and broken hearted ! What's Anne Sieg got to say that is any different to the rest ? Should my upline be passing on this information to me for free ? Since it looks like an affiliate thing, I suppose they get a cut if I buy it from them. What is it with the NWM training spin-off industry ? Are they just trying to make a quick buck on hapless people like myself ? Help !
Can a company find my age with my social security number? I want to sign up for a pretty popular affiliate marketing network. They require your SS# to report your earnings. Quality internet marketing affiliate programs? (credit cards, etc.)? Hey all, This question is aimed at people who are familiar and experienced with internet marketing affiliate programs. NO ANSWERS FROM BROKE PEOPLE PLEASE. I don't believe in jobs. (j.o.b. = fraud) I am involved in network marketing and I love it. It's the only real thing. The other day I was in Downtown Miami and I met this guy in a popular club. He makes 30-40 Gs a month through internet marketing of credit cards. I asked him if he sponsors people, but he said it's a pure online system (he's affiliate). He didn't share what system though. I know for a fact he's no fake, cause I asked around. I need info. You guys know any proven systems, books, sources, mags that talk about online affiliates? Most relevant answer wins! Please remember, Give and You Shall Get! Thank you winners! All the best! Great answers so far (besides the negative one), there were more answers originally but someone wrongfully reported the question, and the awesome Yahoo! Answers Team put it back on. Thank you all affiliates and positive people for answering my question. You've helped me learn a lot so far, and your answers point to the fact that there is a lot to learn in this industry. You guys are awesome! I wish you wisdom and prosperity in your lives!

Affiliate marketing, is this necessary........? Is it necessary to sign up with a group such as Online Data Entry Institute, or Global Cash Flow Network, just companies that show you the ropes on how to become an affiliate. The way the advertising is written for these companys actually make it sound as if you will receive info online and fill in a form and submit it in order to get paid. Actually its not like that and it can be very costly to join the company to learn marketing affiliating. I have tried several times to do this type of at home work but it becomes frustrating and I have to spend quite some time chatting online or calling in for help. I understand that you can make quite a bit of cash with marketing but when you dont have the cash to put into it to start and then have to put more cash into it for additional learning materials and so forth even into advertising or mailing lists, you end up more broke before you make money. Is all this necessary, is there something less stressful on the pocket and brain. Maybe affiliate marketing is not what I need. I am looking for something online to make money through without the heavy cash give out and headache to learn. I just know the basic stuff of computer usage not what I am reading and I feel really lost.

Why would someone (who likes beef jerky) NOT buy beef jerky from a network marketing company? I'm preparing to change careers. I'm currently working in the Construction Industry... fabricating pool cages (screen enclosures), but I'll soon be working full-time in the Direct Sales Industry. I've affiliated myself with a company that produces Premium Quality Meat Snacks. I plan on specializing in selling beef jerky to Retail Consumers. My goal is to earn over $50,000 per year by enrolling people into the company's auto-ship program. But, before I get started, I would really like to know what "objections" I'm likely to encounter. Please tell me every reason you can think of as to why someone would NOT be willing to spend $12 a month buying beef jerky from a network marketing company/through an auto-ship program. Keep in mind... I will be focusing on promoting to people who say YES to the question: "Do you like beef jerky?" I will NOT be trying to get people to do network marketing. I simply want to earn money by acquiring Auto-ship Customers for the company that produces jerky.
What Business Model is the Most Effective in the Affiliate Marketing? I would like to know which of the following business models is the most effective in the affiliate marketing. My affiliate program gives me a choice of business models and I can choose only one. Loyalty/Rewards Select this option if your primary business model is based on loyalty or rewards. For example, your site offers points, donations, or other rewards for purchasing at selected merchants. Loyalty/Reward sites give something back to the consumer in exchange for purchasing through the publisher’s site. A percentage of the advertiser commission is used to pay a reward to the end user. Rewards come in many forms including cash, airline miles, credit card points, or a percent of sale given to an organization. Coupons/Deals Select this option if your primary business model is based on offering coupons and deals to your customers. General Shopping Select this option if your primary business model is shopping. Shopping sites can be thought of as a virtual mall. The consumer can shop for various products and brands without ever having to leave the site. This type of publisher is not focused specifically on coupons and deals. Search Select this option if your primary business model is based on search. Search publishers promote advertisers via search engine marketing (natural or paid). Price Comparison Select this option if your primary business model is based on price comparison. Comparison shopping sites sell items where some comparison is made before the purchase. Many times the publisher will have direct product links of the same product from different advertisers. Content/Niche Select this option if your primary business model is based on content, such as news stories, media, music, or video. Content sites focus on a specific area of interest. This type of site is normally not a shopping site but users go to the site because they are interested in relevant content on site. Content sites that do well with performance-based marketing blend their area of expertise with product recommendations. Social Shopping Select this option if your primary business model is based on social shopping. Social shopping sites usually combine shopping with user recommendations, reviews, lists, and other social network features. User Generated Select this option if your primary business model is based on user-generated content such as communities, forums, and social networks. Other Select this option if your primary business model does not fall under any of the other categories. Thanks

what are the easiest affiliate products to promote if you're just starting out? Hi everybody, I've been bitten by the making money online bug and I'm dipping my toe into the water. I've joined commission junction affiliate network and I am browsing through all the products that are out there. Obviously, there are certain niches I feel more comfortable promoting but I'm afraid that it wouldn't generate enough commissions to cover my overhead. I have a few questions for all you affiliate marketing wizards out there. 1.) what are the easiest affiliate products to promote if you're just starting out 2.) What are some of the easiest and cost-effective ways to generate qualified traffic, and is search engine marketing still a good way to bring traffic or do you absolutely need to have a landing page? Any other tips and advice would be greatly appreciated. Serious inquiries please. Thank you so much in advance
Why is Network Marketing So Shunned by People? I am a business owner affiliated with a company called Quixtar. I've shown my business plan to many people and have made a pretty decent amount of money selling products from our website. Still I find a lot of people who don't want to have anything to do with starting their own business and earning extra income.
Affiliate Marketing Is Becoming a Joke? I am not trying to troll or anything, but it seems so impossible for me to have visitors to my website. I tried these methods: Social networks like FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, Delicious Digg, Reddit, etc., Blog entries like Wordpress, Squidoo, HubPages and Live Journal. Other methods like traffic exchange, traffic generators, 1 way links, 3 way links, search directories, ads, banners, and backlinks. Is Affiliate marketing is even real? I have been studying this for almost 7 months with 0 sells. There are over 500+ million users on FaceBook and I can't get attention from any of them. Making many tweets on Twitter makes no process for me. I am out of ideas. Are there any free email marketing anywhere? This is my website: http://www.toryshellclick.co.cc/

I AM NOT LOOKING FOR the following (LIKE MOST OF WHAT IS ADVERTISED ON THE NET) ex. http://www.dataentrycompany.com/ -programs that teach you how to use advertising platforms like Google Adwords (pay per click) to promote digital information products on affiliate networks like Clickbank to make money online. What they are really selling you is an Affiliate Marketing ebook that shows you how to find over 10,000 different products to sell (in the Clickbank directory), where these companies pay you every 2 weeks (actually it's only Clickbank that pays you), and to use Google Adwords to promote these programs I am just looking for a very very simple job like typing that will pay a low wage like $40 to $50 per day (8 hours) (doesn't have to pay typing.... Is there anything legit out there like this? (has to be extremely simple) Thanks

Hello, We all know (hopefully at least agree) that MLM, Network Marketing, Referral Marketing, Word-of-Mouth Business, Affiliate Marketing is one of the most misunderstood industry in US. Since there are so many positive and negative comments in Yahoo Answer, I personally think we need to address these topics in certain Yahoo Group. I am planning to open one Yahoo Group to address MLM related topic. I do not know what you guys think. The people who are involve in the industry know that our industry is not so reputed and respected. Most of the reason is Hype and Lies. However there are good companies and certainly good products. My main goal is to introduce Network Marketing in a form that people understand the business and respect it. Most anti-mlmer hate this industry due to the misconception. I need every bodies help (People who are favor of MLM), we all know we can share the greatness of MLM and let people know the true face of the business.

I don't know if I need to buy one, or if I can use a "free" one? I also know I need a web hosting service. I am aware of the many shortcomings of the free hosting srevices. I am asking if I can use my free domain name and a paid host? Or, what are the ramifications of mix-and-match? Should I just go ahead and bite the bullet and go for the paid host and buy the domain name? Once I have cleared this up, how would I address all of the various pages, etc? I am trying to set up to do affiliate-network marketing. I Obviously need help. Thank you in advance for your help. For clarity: I will bee adding my affiliate to many webpages. As people click to the site, or buy the program, I get paid. I don't as yet have a webpage of my own design, I do have free webpages that others have given me for free to promote their products.

How long does this page take to load? Hey people, I do affiliate marketing, and I'm promoting this site: http://loopyloveuk.com The problem I'm having is that I get maybe 400 clicks from advertising, but the network only shows about 300 or so clicks. Which means, I paid for 100 extra clicks that the network didn't pick up. I'm wondering if the page is taking so long to load, that visitors just click back or out. So please, let me know how long this page takes to load for you. (It takes a long time first time for me, but after the first time it's fine - which is why I need you (first timers) to tell me) Thanks!

What/Where is the best way to market affiliates? How can I market affiliates buy getting sales off their designs/products without my own personal website. Can I use social networking sites like myspace, do I need to post classified ads or write articles? How/where can I promote affiliates products quickly and with the most traffic? Thanks
Using my real name online? I'm getting into affiliate marketing and am looking to network with other affiliate marketers....as well as create a blog covering various subjects about affiliate marketing. I'm nervous to share my real name as their is a lot of identity theft and other things that happen online. Anyone have ideas?
Is there any real online home based job in india? I was caught in so many internet scams online. A few programs I heard as good are only available in US and UK. Is there any real home based business which 1. is not affiliate marketing 2. should not ask money (Once we earn, we can pay) 3. is not network marketing. People who do scams, plz don't reply with your ads and do introspection. I heard so many people made crores of rupees just by spending 2 hours a day. Hello Webmasters, if you can't answer this, then everyone realizes that this is just fake.
What would you understand by the term 'Relationship Executive'? The advertisement included: 1) servicing clients in marketing and networking 2) Friendly personality 3) Responsible for meeting sales target 4) Meeting customers P.S: couldn;t find out much about the companu as it has no website but I've been told its actually sells insurance as an affiliate
HELP! I need to market my website. Where do I start? I have a great website, but no one knows it exists. I need to optimize it for the search engines, and I would like to get it on an affiliate network so I can get referrals. Does anyone know a trust- worthy company that can help me with this? I have been working with a company since last February, that is supposed to be doing this for me, but they have dropped the ball in a big way. I paid them a lot of money up front, and have yet to see any work done on this. I' am also wondering if anyone knows the average price range for something like this? I believe I grossly over paid... Any advice? Thanks.

Is Global Resorts Network better than YTB as both are travel businesses? I joined global resorts then found ytb. YTB seems to be an excellent business, but for last minute travel. It concentrates on hotel vacations, has an upfront cost & monthly fee. But I loved their owner's speech on the travel biz, & their site is excellent. Global Resorts Network is very new on the net, started dec 06. Its affiliated with a company that has been in business 20 years.. its the marketing arm. It has a onetime fee only, no monthly fees. Plus their market is different ... grn concentrates on luxury travel to 4 & 5 star resorts worldwide (though it covers hotels & does cruises & travel same as YTB) But you can book in advance with GRN (as well as up to 72 hours before a trip). They encourage you to call them for special arrangements. Their prices are better GRN owners setup Global Resorts because of timeshare experiences, as owners & sellers.Timeshares have maintenance fees & no travel choice Which biz do U like? http://www.globalresortsnetwork.shorturl.com
Where can I get demographics for a time slot from 8-9pm on Thursdays for network television? THE PROJECT: "THE OPPORTUNITY" You are a member of a team that is competing for the opportunity to program NBC-TV from 8-9 pm on Thursday evenings for the 2006-2007 season. Your task is to come up with your own ORIGINAL program(s) for the time block based upon your research of the audience and the competition. You can assume that the competition (ABC, CBS, Fox, etc.) will program what is currently on. As the attached sheet shows, you must cover more than just the program concept. The financial aspect is important as well. ORAL REPORTS (15 minutes) AND WRITTEN REPORTS DUE MONDAY 11/13 THE OPPORTUNITY I. PROGRAM CONCEPT What is the idea? What is it like? Why is it different? Why will it work? You have an hour to fill. This could obviously be done by two half hour shows or a single one hour show. Which will you do? Why? Be as specific as possible when it comes to your program(s). What about casting? Include at least three show titles and brief story lines for your program(s). Have one of them be your sweeps show. II. RESEARCH RATIONALE What are the demographics available in the hour? Do they change? What part of the audience is "taken" or available? How will your program slant in terms of demos? Why will it work? Will it bring back audience to the time period? III. PUBLIC RELATIONS How will you get the attention of the consumer press TV editors? Will your people do selective touring on local TV shows? Any plans for satellite interviews? Are there any expected problems in the format with pressure groups? Are your stars promotable? Amenable? IV. STATION CLEARANCE Networks are dependent on local stations to carry their shows to viewers. What arguments will you suggest to have the affiliate carry this show rather than syndicated or local products? Why will your show be better? What will you say to the station manager? V. SALES Why will this program be of interest to advertisers? Will its demographics be good? How have similar shows done in the past? Will there be problem story lines? VI. LICENSE FEES, DEFICIT FINANCING, OTHER MARKETS Here are some estimated license fees for TV shows. Of course they may vary widely depending on productions costs. 1/2 hour comedy $1,000,0001 hour magazine $2,000,000 1 hour comedy $2,00,0001 hour news doc $750,000 1 hour variety $2,000,0001 hour sports $1,750,000 The network's license fee generally covers about 80% of production costs. The producer then looks for back-end financing or expectations on other revenues. The network traditionally gets two runs. How will you recoup your money? Syndication? How syndicatable is your program? Overseas? Cable? Cassettes? Entertainment specials usually run only once since they usually don't work well in reruns. How will you try to keep down production costs? The problems of television production costs have been heavy copy in the trade press, business magazines, and consumer press. The production team must be sensitive to these issues and have answers. At the same time they must also assure the network that they will deliver a classy product, explaining why it "will all be on the screen" for the license fee. VIII. AUDIENCE PROMOTION What kind of TV Guide ads, newspaper, or magazine ads do you intend to run? How will you use major sporting events that take place on the network? What about network promos? Will you use radio? Why? What will you say? What will you do during sweeps?
what salary to expect in Toronto ? Hi, I have a degree in Marketing and I have been working two years as a PR manager, I also have a year experience working in an affiliate network. So with a degree and 3 years experience, what kind of salary can I expect in Toronto?
Televised coverage of NFL games. What is happening to it? I was watching the Bears throttle the Bills on the local CBS affiliate outside the Chicago market. Mid way through the 3rd Quarter, the announcers say that they are switching to the Dolphins/Patriots game because the Bears/Bills game was a blowout. So, I switch over to Fox and watch the Redskins/Giants. At the end of that game, Fox swtiches to the Vikings/Lions game....and announces a big welcome to all who were watching the Redskins/Gians. And then announces a big welcome to all those who watched the Bears beat the Bills. What is going on... Why would CBS dump out of a game? Even if it is a blowout, this is rare (and stupid). Is this a new policy? Second, I thought games were exclusive to each network, based on conference play. How could CBS and Fox both be carrying the Bears game? Anyone have the inside track on this? Jack, just because your Bears are kicking butt...you still live in Vikings country. Convert or die! Thanks for the answer. Anyone else have any ideas? I have sent emails to CBS, NFL and FOX for clarification on this. Should be interesting. And for the record, I am not whining. Just asking a question. After all, that is what Y!A is for, right?
How do social networking sites like Friendster and even Youtube generate revenue? Is it thru CPM (cost per impression), CPC/CPA (cost per click/action), affiliate marketing?

Where can I find an entrepreneur who already owns a web site hosting company to partner with my venture? I have 600 plus websites that run on a custom affiliate marketing website builder and they are currently being hosted for $60 a month on ONE IP address. I was told they need spread out over at least 10 separate IPS for better SEO and want to PARTNER rather than PAY a hosting company. I am willing to give up stock in my company if we can find the right people who also might be well connected with developers and programmers. The business model combines individual .com domain names AND a social network cobined to build a BRAND.
I work for an IT solutions firm and need marketing help.? IT solutions firm specializes in Networking services, product/software development, IT staffing (full time & consulting), IT outsourcing, and reller of hardware/software. Besides making calls to businesses, explaining our services, and getting no where, does any one have any tips for a beginner in the sales department? I started looking into becoming a third party vendor for other businesses/corporations but the company is mostly looking for local small - medium sized businesses. I also am looking into whether I can become affiliated with a business development company, so that they can offer my services to businesses that would benefit from the cost savings that my company offers. I hope this is detailed enough! Any help from veteran sales people, (or just someone with a good idea) would be greatly appreciated. THANKS GUYS/GALS
very fustrated with trying to promote clickbank product? Not sure what I did wrong. I signed up with clickbank almost 7 months ago and was trying to promote a book on autism. I have a 9 year old daugher with autism,so I thought this might be a good thing. I wrote blogs, newsarticles, hubs, press releases, did the social networks, placed ads, built websites around the product, brought affiliate marketing tools, and just about eveything else you can imagine. I also brought the book about getting free traffic and I followed that to a tee. I never made a sale, except for me, and I worked this consistanly every day. I've come to realize, this is just not a marketable product. I need to find something else. How do you determine which are good sellers? Everytime I find a product that looks promising, there are at least a million other people trying to promote the same product. Yes I did the SEO thing and the book just did not sell. That's why I'm looking into promoting another product. I did go through a whole bunch of yahoo answers about autism and answered them and suggested the book. Nobody brought it. What else could I try to promote? I did give the autism book my all. I did get some traffic to my websites, but it seems that people who want more info an autism, were just not interested in buying an ebook.

I made an answer a few days ago SUGGESTING a certain service of which I'm NOT officially an affiliate and they removed my answer. I see people on this forum all the time openly posting their affiliate links telling people about how much money they're making through these programs. I have NEVER asked anyone to join me in business through Yahoo! Answers. I really don't get it. I suggested a company name that coaches people in network marketing because it has helped me personally yet they remove it. People have suggested things like cashcrate and different survey programs that pay you and they've used their affiliate links (which i did NOT do) to RECRUIT people to join them in business. What should I do to get this sort of immunity? I"m here to build relationships and share knowledge as well as gain info from time to time. I do home based business and I do my best to avoid recruitment attempts in this way.
How do I get Affiliates to my new programme.? We have just created and started an eceommerce (for selling /reselling websites) Affiliate programme. We have decided that we want to keep the programme independant initially, but are not sure of the best course of action for the speediest sign-ups of new affiliates. Its a superb and generous commission, and promises bonuses, plenty of customer incentives etc, so should ultimately be very acceptable to many affiliates. But, as a new programme, and not having marketed an affiliate programme before I am struggling to find the best places to market this. We do not wish to use a network like Cj etc. - Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can you advise please?
"law of retaliation": "eye for an eye" : retributive justice? Many companies have their affiliate programs setup through 3rd party network. Since i do affiliative marketing, I just couldn't avoid using network's services and in order to do so, i had to agree to their TOS, which is a complete nonsense. I took my chances twice. Both times i did not do anything (at all) , but got kicked out and lost all my earnings. Their Terms of service is set that i am liable for everything. First time they took <$1000 because i did not log in for 30 days.. Second time (5 years later), they took >$2000, because someone posted "my link" that they found on my site to some public forum. I cannot sue them: I "agreed" to their nonsense terms. I analyzed how to get them back and found the way how to "sabotage" their work by doing nothing illegal.. think it as if i'd take all their links and post 'em to a forum. I cannot afford lawyer, but I want to change this situation. I'll be happy if they'll loose.. Is there a way for their legal team to go after me?
Rent lease or buy poker software.? I'm looking to rent/lease/buy poker software. Here's the plan: I'd like to be able to have a poker network supply me with the tables. I'll have my own online website, will do the marketing, bring customers in and the company that supplies the software charges me a percentage of the rake. My profit would be the leftover rake after the company's deducted their profit. Since I'm only an affiliate, or a skin for this network, I'd assume they charge no money down, only the rake percentage as it is Poker (player vs. player, not house money as in a Casino) so there's no risk for the company. Does anybody know of anyone that can offer me this ?

Affiliate Marketing for One? I'm interested in setting up an affiliate arrangement between my web site and a specific online retailer. This retailer doesn't currently have an affiliate program, but is willing to pay me a commission to help move their merchandise. What's the simplest, cheapest solution to establish a one-on-one structure like this? Unfortunately, the honor system won't work, and the retailer doesn't want to join an expensive network like Link Share or Commission Junction. Is there some free software out there that can handle this? Is there a template for code that I can create and pass off to the retailer? Someone, somewhere has to have run into this issue before. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Truehomeemployment websites? Affiliate marketing really works? My neighbor started these systems from the "truehomeemployment" websites a few months ago. Paid $47 for step by step directions to make cash from home with no stock, no customers, etc. I thought he was nuts in the beginning though this isn't MLM or Network marketing. now he is getting checks for $500 every 2 weeks from this affiliate website. It's pretty wild. Anyone else have any experience with this?
Was it a smart move for the NFL to broadcast the NE Vs NYG game all over the USA? NEW YORK (AP) -- After weeks of insisting they wouldn't cave in, NFL officials did just that Wednesday. Now all of America can see the Patriots' shot at history. Saturday night's game between New England and the New York Giants on the NFL Network, which is available in fewer than 40 percent of the nation's homes with TVs, will be simulcast on CBS and NBC. The Patriots could become the first NFL team to go 16-0 in the regular season. "We have taken this extraordinary step because it is in the best interest of our fans," commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement after the league announced it was reversing course. "What we have seen for the past year is a very strong consumer demand for NFL Network. We appreciate CBS and NBC delivering the NFL Network telecast on Saturday night to the broad audience that deserves to see this potentially historic game. Our commitment to the NFL Network is stronger than ever." NFL Network spokesman Seth Palansky said officials would have no further comment Wednesday. The NFL had claimed that the onus of making the game widely available fell on the major cable providers with which the league has bitterly feuded. Companies such as Comcast and Time Warner have declined to carry the network as part of basic packages. But lawmakers have pressured the NFL to ensure more viewers could see the game. Last week, two prominent members of the Senate Judiciary Committee sent a letter to Goodell threatening to reconsider the league's antitrust exemption. Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., who co-wrote the letter with Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa., said he was "delighted" by the NFL's concession. "I think it was a smart move on their part," he said in a phone interview. Leahy expected to speak with Goodell again next month about the ongoing question of how many fans will be able to see games on the channel. Saturday's matchup wraps up the NFL Network's second season of airing live contests, with eight per year. This one and a key Thursday night game between Green Bay and Dallas last month drew widespread complaints about the lack of availability. "I never completely gave up hope, but I was getting a little discouraged Christmas afternoon when we still had not gotten a positive answer," said Leahy, who added that his staff members were talking with NFL officials during the holiday. Local TV affiliates in the Boston, Manchester, N.H., and New York areas that were already set to simulcast the game under NFL policy will still air it. That means viewers in those markets will have four channels to choose from if they get NFL Network. That did not make officials at WWOR in New York happy. "The NFL is in clear violation of their agreement with WWOR/My9," the station said in a statement. "We fully expect the league to honor their commitment to My9 as the exclusive free over-the-air broadcaster for Saturday's telecast of the New England Patriots at New York Giants game." Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., who had urged cable and NFL executives to settle the dispute, had a much more positive reaction to the league's announcement. "I couldn't be more thrilled that as the Patriots rush toward an historic undefeated season, football fans everywhere have won a victory of their own," Kerry said. "With today's announcement, the NFL showed their loyalty to the sports fans who made the NFL an empire in the first place. "The best news of all is that now no die-hard Pats fans will be shut out from watching their team take aim at football history," Kerry said in a statement. This will be the first three-network simulcast in NFL history and the first simulcast of an NFL game since the inaugural Super Bowl in 1967, when CBS and NBC televised the meeting of the champions of the newly merged National Football League and American Football League. "We're happy to accommodate the NFL's request for a joint national simulcast of this potentially historic game to make it available to the widest possible audience," said Dick Ebersol, NBC Universal's chairman for sports and Olympics. NBC was scheduled to air "Dateline NBC" and a repeat of "Law & Order: SVU" during the time slot. CBS was set to broadcast the movie "Good Night, and Good Luck" and "48 Hours: Mysteries."
