Beware of this direct marketing scam company in Lincoln (UK)? and do not work for cobra elsewhere? This is about Eclipse promotions in Lincoln. They are a branch of Endeva Advertising in Nottingham and the Cobra group. I went for an interview and they completely treated me like **** and lied. They said I would be on a wage but when I was successful they didnt tell me it was a commision based job the other candidates told me. They tried made us start at 8am in the morning and didnt let us leave until midnight they were always trying to make me ferry people around in my car. The worst thing is we only had 3 hours to try selling and the rest of the time we had to fanny around in the office for free or travel aro8nd train to bus to train and not paying for travel. They completely lie to the donators! The job was door to door sales and to make people donate £1.50 by direct debit. We were told to say that 100% of the £1.50 the person donates will go straight to the charity whereas in fact, every penny goes to the hands of Endeva and they split the amount raised. Reps and these marketing companies are paid out of the money people pay and they choose how much goes to the charity. The reps travel throughout the UK but as far as I know eclipse and endeva travel across east midlands to leicester, sleaford, nottingham, chesterfield etc. Dont pay donate through these people, donate online so then youre getting the most out of your money to the charity. The charities they represent include NDCS, British Red cross, WWF, RSPB and more charities. And do NOT work for these people they will disrespect you, make you give up relationship's unless he/she also works for the company, make you cancel hospital appointments pre arranged, and if you wont let them use your own car, they will say "your car is knackered anyway" and will try to bully you into using it to ferry around the people who dont have cars. Someone on the web who also used to work for endeva said he was stripped of every sale he made just because he quit! These companies save so much money by not paying staff travel expenses, and not paying for labour. Unless you want all the disadvantages of being self employed with all the disadvantages of employment (stupid hours made by the company MONDAY - SATURDAY 80+ HOURS PER WEEK and commission only based pay during what little time you spend selling) STAY AWAY!

Finding direct marketing companies for bags and fashion products!? I have a fashion laptop bag product line design by myself. I do both online retailing and wholesale. I am trying to get a marketing company that can carry my line and sell it to chain stores... like how Amway or P&G sell their products to big retailers (walmart, the bay...etc.). Is there marketing companies that can do this for me? What are those companies? Thanks for answering!
What are some great sites to sell direct marketing consumer lists to businesses quickly? I have some direct marketing lists that I want to sell. They are generalized, regional specific lists (mostly customers based in Florida) and I want to try to sell them to people looking to expand their businesses, either those located in Florida or trying to build a base in Florida. I am selling them cheaper than the going rate because I am just getting started. And while I know a lot of people sell to bigger direct marketing companies, I don't really want to go that route right now. Any suggestions? High traffic/high response sites preferred.
What is the meaning of "Direct marketing"? I heard from some friends that direct marketing is often in China and Korea? What is direct marketing? How is work? Do you know the direct-marketing companies in China and Korea?

Direct Marketing? Do u think a company can push its sales more by direct marketing method. Do you think it is more effective way of marketing over other methods.
Has anyone heard of Worldwide Marketing Solutions Ltd or what they do? I had an interview with them and apparently a direct marketing company but work on 100% commission and your job depends on how many sales you get. But this company seem very dodgy to me because I cannot find any answers, website, contact details or any information about the company and they are supposedly working with British Red Cross! I think that it is a scam or con artists who are stealing peoples money.
Direct Marketing...How direct is it? Are there any success stories with Direct Marketing out there... I was offered a career job with a base salary of $32,000, but I wasn't comfortable with the door-to-door sales because I worked my tail off in college to be in a corporate environment...not people's neighborhoods...I posted my resume on careerbuilder with my BBA in Management but only direct marketing companies keep contacting me.... Does anyone know about any other websites besides Career Builder that are pretty accurate?
For personal development an insight and exposure to Direct marketing is necessary - Right or wrong ? Direct marketing companies ( like A V O N , Amway , Quest.net , HLN network ) provide invaluable training and allow their sellers room to correct themselves in attaining and bettering their softskills ! They of course are income-oriented ! But it is altogether another platform which concerns our own-personal-selves which we only would know ! The question is about changing the pattern of attitudes of a Person ! Whether success in direct marketing will better a person and cause his Personal development in various angles (including earningwise etc.,)
Marketing company questions? So I applied for a job in a marketing agency. I got the job offer and tomorrow is my "orientation." Basically they described that I will be going over what the company offers to customers and so on. They also mentioned that it will be in class form. I have to understand the company more by asking questions. What questions do you think I can ask? I know what they do and how they do it, but I was looking for more specific questions. Here is a small company description: Fake Marketing is a direct marketing agency that delivers flawlessly executed promotional programs and strategically designed sales campaigns. They do 'personal' marketing by promoting products during events, in venues, and so on. Questions would be appreciated!

How can I find in-direct marketing firms in Texas? Every "marketing firm" that i see on hotjobs or monster have a hidden sales gimick. What I really want to do is to be in a team atmosphere and come up with brochures, flyers, slogans for companies, and/or create marketing campaigns for new products. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How do inventors approach direct response companies? How does the inventor make money when working with a direct response company? What aspects of the marketing and production and fulfillment would the direct response company cover? Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Am I allowed to use another brands logo in an marketing piece for my own company? I am making a direct mail marketing package to advertise my business, and I want to use another brands logo on the cover of it. I won't be insulting or putting down the name of the other brand, I will just be using it to help illustrate the point of the direct mailer. Does anyone know if I am allowed to do this without getting permission from them, or is it breaking copyright laws? I am in South Africa, so British/European laws are similar to ours here, not really US laws. Any info is appreciated, thanks
I have recently started up a business with a marketing company.? I have a company website as well as a blog related to the opportunity. Did you hear about the Fidelity information breach? It seems like the Fidelity information breach (an employee stole 2.3 million customer's records and sold them to a direct marketing company) wasn't well covered in the news- did you hear about it? From where?
Why would someone (who likes beef jerky) NOT buy beef jerky from a network marketing company? I'm preparing to change careers. I'm currently working in the Construction Industry... fabricating pool cages (screen enclosures), but I'll soon be working full-time in the Direct Sales Industry. I've affiliated myself with a company that produces Premium Quality Meat Snacks. I plan on specializing in selling beef jerky to Retail Consumers. My goal is to earn over $50,000 per year by enrolling people into the company's auto-ship program. But, before I get started, I would really like to know what "objections" I'm likely to encounter. Please tell me every reason you can think of as to why someone would NOT be willing to spend $12 a month buying beef jerky from a network marketing company/through an auto-ship program. Keep in mind... I will be focusing on promoting to people who say YES to the question: "Do you like beef jerky?" I will NOT be trying to get people to do network marketing. I simply want to earn money by acquiring Auto-ship Customers for the company that produces jerky.

Is vector marketing legit? Its part of a parent company called Cutco; they sell kitchen knives. This is a direct market company, they recruit young, college age ppl and get them to sell their products. I know I am young and probably dumb, but I think that a company should never ever ask you for money once they have hired u(they ask for $143 for a "safety deposit" on the sample kit you need in order to do their work). I literally just walked out of their little interview thing. Do you guys agree?

Who has experience with network marketing and taxes? I received a 1099 from my network marketing company for commissions and overrides. I also received a statement from them called Taxable Income REcap that shows how much I spent on Purchasing Products. You buy products at wholesale and sell them at retail. The difference is your income or "right now" money. This money is not easily tracked because they can't tell how much you sold at full cost, how much you sold at discounts and how much you kept for personal use or as gifts to further your business. Do I need to somehow claim this on my taxes as income or should I just claim what was noted on my 1099? There is also a box on my 1099-MISC form that is checked that says "Payer made direct sales of $5000 or more of consumer products to a buyer (recipient) for resale." Does this relate to me or is this the company just saying that I bought more than $5000 worth of stuff to sell as I see fit? Anyone have any experience with this on their federal taxes?
What advice would you give someone going to an interview for a position in Advertising Sales? I will interview with a successful direct mail marketing company looking for an Advertising Salesperson tomorrow...Any good words of wisdom? I think asking for tips from others is an excellent way to improve my ability to impress an interviewer I have a B.S. in Mass Communications with an emphasis in advertising. I am fresh out of college, have excellent references from my professors but no outside sales experience. I have worked at my campus' bookstore (sales associate/receiving) and at a hotel front desk. The company is very successful. I look forward to receiving their mailings because they are packed with coupons for restaurants, hotels, etc. They have expanded all over two states (starting from a small market.)

I am in the process of starting up a marketing company and want to sue one of my suppliers? I am in the process of starting up a marketing company and want to sue one of my suppliers. I bought a list of e-mails off www.email-the-world.com after they told me I'd be able to send out marketing bulletins freely. I've now been told by the Information Commission that I can't do that as I'd be a 3rd party and not have the direct prior permission of the recipients etc. Therefore I wish to sue the company to at least get my money back. Firstly, would I actually have a valid arguement (as I'm not clued up on legal issues), also where can I find a suitable lawyer, that would help me take this to court? I'm in the Essex area. Would want a no win no fee solicitor
Looking for Direct Marketing Software....? for my brother's business. He broke away from his old company and has been working for himself for about a year. He's in sales (windows/doors). Things are picking up just by word of mouth....and he wants to hire me on to help him out with the paper work. He has boxes and boxes of papers, old clients...etc. First thing I am going to do is get these old clients into some kind of database system. And then we want to do some direct marketing. Someone suggested ACT! 2007. Anyone else agree? We have Macs. And can you give me idea (non-technical) of how this works, I have been staying home with my kids for 4 yrs, so go "slow"! Can we even use this for the Mac?? Yeah yeah, I do understand both platforms. I chose Mac for personal use. I learned all my computer stuff on a Mac over 20 yrs ago. Then in the workforce, a good 15 years on PC. And my husband is actually the Tech Mgr for a high profile company, and knows PC very well. I agree PC is better for business, but we'd like to see what we can do right away with what we have. Thanks for the input.
Is multi level marketing and direct sales a good or bad business model and why? An intresting comparrison, Why is it socially acceptable to play the loto, gamble in vegas, persue careers in entertainment, music and pro sports where hundreds of thousands of people put thier hopes and dreams on the line yet only a small handfull of these people walk away successfull and wealthy and trust me these industries do market excitement, hopes and dreams. Also why is it so offensive if someone belongs to a legit MLM company that offers a level playing field and has a shot at building a business and achieveing freedom based on effort?
