Is a free gift a good marketing plan for a website? Hey There, I have just recently published a website for simple car maintenance reminders (emails you when you have maintenance coming up on your car) and I'm looking for inexpensive ways of getting it out there. I have an idea of "Get entered to win a Free $50 gas card for registering a new account, increase your chances by referring more people here." Is this a good idea or does someone have a better cheap plan?
How to write a Marketing Plan? Where can i get a business plan/ marketing plan software for free? Alternatively, where can i read sample plans? Any suggestions except Mplans. I've already explored that Its a plan for an already existing(2and a half)/ year old ISP
Which economic ideal will Obama take; free market or centrally planned, if elected? A free market economy is an economic system in which economic decisions and the pricing of goods and services are guided solely by the aggregate interactions of a country's citizens and businesses and there is little government intervention or central planning. This is the opposite of a centrally planned economy, in which government decisions drive most aspects of a country's economic activity.
How can someone be a creationist and a free market capitalist without contradiction? Creationists argue that complexity requires a creator, or central planning. Yet free market capitalists argue there is no such need for central planning, that individuals moved only by self interest can generate an economy that not only holds together, but serves the general welfare in the best possible way. One requires an argument for the necessity of central planning of complex organization, the other says no such planning is needed or even desirable. How did it come about that some people try to hold both ideas as true? Mike: According to every anarcho-capitalist, yes, it would.
Aren't most internet marketing plans, buy the plan, sell the plan? It seems like every plan out there, whether it's free or not, is really just passing it on. Some plans include software that can be useful in learning how to market on the internet, But, it seems like we all just keep 'Passing' stuff (or nothing) along to the next person. Am I right, or am I missing a piece of this puzzle?
Pros and cons of Free Market and Planned Market? Can someone give me advantages and disadvantages of each: a Centrally Planned Economic and a Free Market Economy? Oh and is 'Surplus' excess demand or excess supply? Always forget :P! Thank you!
Any good software for developing a marketing plan? My partner and I are starting up a new business and I am in charge of marketing. I have tons of ideas, and am looking for a free or cheap software that would guide me to develop the ideas into solid plans, and present the plans to my partner and sponsors. Are there any good programs or software available?
Which is better, Liberty or socialism, free market or central planning, gold standard or fiat currency? Which of these can we expect from an Obama administration? What did George Washington give us in the Constitution? Hey, Nick. Jefferson made no contributions to the Constitution. Yup, Tony, it's true Jefferson made zero contributions to the Constitution. He was out of the country at the time it was framed. As a matter of fact, that's why he mischaracterized the first amendment, he only had a verbal summation of what it was about, and he paraphrased it in his now famous, but incorrect lettter.
How do I write a marketing plan for a newly created product? I have to do this for a required Marketing class that I'm taking and don't know what the heck I'm doing. What information do I need to include in the plan? Where do I go to get whatever statistics I may need--for free, if possible? None of these things were covered in class and I'm a little confused...ok, a lot confused. Anybody able to help me out?
FREE MARKET AND CENTRALLY PLANNED ECONOMY? What are the advantages and disadvantages of both free market economies and centrally planned economies? How does the way each system values economic freedom and economic equity? ***How does each system value economic freedon and economic equity?***
Why dont liberals want to give the free market a chance to fix health care? Why do liberals strike down ideas of removing regulations that prevent competition of cross state selling of insurance. This would surely spur a market for individual health care plans that are not tied to the employer. This would be a simple and easy thing to correct if it didnt work out why don't liberals ever give the market a chance?
What do liberals think of my "free market" healthcare plan? Liberals keep complaining that Republicans don't have a plan for reforming health care in America. I have a plan! It's a one-page bill creating a free market in health insurance. Let's all pause here for a moment so liberals can Google the term "free market." Nearly every problem with health care in this country -- apart from trial lawyers and out-of-date magazines in doctors' waiting rooms -- would be solved by my plan. In the first sentence, Congress will amend the McCarran-Ferguson Act to allow interstate competition in health insurance. We can't have a free market in health insurance until Congress eliminates the antitrust exemption protecting health insurance companies from competition. If Democrats really wanted to punish insurance companies, which they manifestly do not, they'd make insurers compete. The very next sentence of my bill provides that the exclusive regulator of insurance companies will be the state where the company's home office is. Every insurance company in the country would incorporate in the state with the fewest government mandates, just as most corporations are based in Delaware today. That's the only way to bypass idiotic state mandates, requiring all insurance plans offered in the state to cover, for example, the Zone Diet, sex-change operations, and whatever it is that poor Heidi Montag has done to herself this week. President Obama says we need national health care because Natoma Canfield of Ohio had to drop her insurance when she couldn't afford the $6,700 premiums, and now she's got cancer. Much as I admire Obama's use of terminally ill human beings as political props, let me point out here that perhaps Natoma could have afforded insurance had she not been required by Ohio's state insurance mandates to purchase a plan that covers infertility treatments and unlimited ob/gyn visits, among other things. It sounds like Natoma could have used a plan that covered only the basics -- you know, things like cancer. The third sentence of my bill would prohibit the federal government from regulating insurance companies, except for normal laws and regulations that apply to all companies. Freed from onerous state and federal mandates turning insurance companies into public utilities, insurers would be allowed to offer a whole smorgasbord of insurance plans, finally giving consumers a choice. Instead of Harry Reid deciding whether your insurance plan covers Viagra, this decision would be made by you, the consumer. (I apologize for using the terms "Harry Reid" and "Viagra" in the same sentence. I promise that won't happen again.) Instead of insurance companies jumping to the tune of politicians bought by health-care lobbyists, they would jump to the tune of hundreds of millions of Americans buying health insurance on the free market. Hypochondriac liberals could still buy the aromatherapy plan and normal people would be able to buy plans that only cover things like major illness, accidents and disease. (Again -- things like Natoma Canfield's cancer.) This would, in effect, transform medical insurance into ... a form of insurance! My bill will solve nearly every problem allegedly addressed by ObamaCare -- and mine entails zero cost to the taxpayer. Indeed, a free market in health insurance would produce major tax savings as layers of government bureaucrats, unnecessary to medical service in America, get fired. For example, in a free market, the government wouldn't need to prohibit insurance companies from excluding "pre-existing conditions." Of course, an insurance company has to be able to refuse new customers with "pre-existing conditions." Otherwise, everyone would just wait to get sick to buy insurance. It's the same reason you can't buy fire insurance on a house that's already on fire. That isn't an "insurance company"; it's what's known as a "Christian charity." What Democrats are insinuating when they denounce exclusions of "pre-existing conditions" is an insurance company using the "pre-existing condition" ruse to deny coverage to a current policy holder -- someone who's been paying into the plan, year after year. Any insurance company operating in the free market that pulled that trick wouldn't stay in business long. If hotels were as heavily regulated as health insurance is, right now I'd be explaining to you why the government doesn't need to mandate that hotels offer rooms with beds. If they didn't, they'd go out of business. I'm sure people who lived in the old Soviet Union thought it was crazy to leave groceries to the free market. ("But what if they don't stock the food we want?") The market is a more powerful enforcement mechanism than indolent government bureaucrats. If you don't believe me, ask Toyota about six months from now. Right now, insurance companies are protected by government regulations from having to honor their contracts. Violating contracts isn't so easy when co

Should alternative medicine be covered by all health care plans? Since it would really give people the freedom to choose in the "free market?" And since so many people already die from prescription drugs and conventional treatment plans? Witch doctors? lol misty194: Alternative medicine is usually a lot cheaper than conventional medicine--it would bring costs down. Donna: That's true because the pharmaceutical industry and hospitals get a lot of tax dollar subsidies.
How will it be possible to have both government health care and free market health care? If the proposed tax on existing insurance plans provided by employers is implemented, won't that drive business away from the private insurance companies to the government? Either by causing employers to drop coverage or just by the fact it my be cheaper to get it from the government. Won't the government have every incentive to change rules to get as many people on the government program as possible?
Is business and the free market system sustainable? I am not a communist- I am pretty much pro free market capitalism (but not unrestrained capitalism). But I do wonder- the world's resources are finite (limited) and the world's population is constantly growing. It seems inevitable that the world will reach a population where resources become quite limited relative to the population. Currently, capitalism is viable because resources are (still) plentiful relative to the population, and people are able to acquire great amounts of wealth by providing a professional service, becoming a great athelete/entertainer, developing a useful product, or through strategic asset allocation and investments. But since resources are limited and the population is ever growing, it seems that mankind will reach a point where the current distribution of wealth will not be possible for even all the qualified and able people. Will this point come? And if so, will a new plan for redistribution of wealth and perhaps population control be necessary
Whatever happened to the utopian wonders of free market captalism ? Why are free market economies able to attain economic growth? 1. Why are free market economies able to attain economic growth? Consumers can purchase all the goods they need, which causes firms to produce more. Competition encourages innovation, which causes growth. Everyone is acting in their own self-interest, which motivates market growth. Firms keep producing more incentives to encourage households to purchase more goods. 2. Which of the following is NOT an advantage of a free market economy? economic efficiency economic freedom economic equity economic growth 3. Which of the following is NOT a disadvantage of a centrally planned economy? It usually cannot meet consumers' needs and wants. It tries to meet explicitly stated goals. It does not reward innovation. It sacrifices individual freedoms. 4. The United States economy is a mixed economy based on the principles of the traditional economy, but allowing some government intervention. based on the principles of the centrally planned economy, but limiting government intervention. based on the principles of the free market, allowing no government intervention. based on the principles of the free market, but allowing some government intervention. 5. Government intervention in a modern economy is useful because the needs and wants of modern society are always met by the marketplace. the marketplace has many incentives to create public works such as parks and libraries. governments are more able to meet some needs and wants of modern society in a way that ensures that all members of society can participate. the marketplace proves all of its own laws.

30 days Plan to resemble a command economy in 30 days: free market and progress for all? Rockwell's Thirty-Day Plan By Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr. When Eastern Europe broke free in 1989, we all realized just how little thought had been given to the transition from socialism to capitalism. Mises had told us the collapse was coming, and we should have been prepared. As America comes to resemble a command economy, we need a transition plan here too. Yuri Maltsev proposed a "One-Day Plan" for the U. S. S. R. We're not in that bad a shape (yet), so we could do it in 30 days. DAY ONE: The federal income tax is abolished and April 15th is declared a national holiday. The 40% reduction in federal revenues is matched by a 40% cut in spending. The budget is still almost twice as big as Jimmy Carter's. DAY TWO: All other federal taxes are abolished, including the corporate income tax, the capital gains tax, the gasoline tax, "sin" taxes, excise taxes, etc. Businesses boom, and the few legitimate federal functions are funded with an inexpensive head tax. People who choose not to vote need not pay it. (Note: this was a mainstream view in the 19th century.) DAY THREE: The federal government sells all its land, freeing up tens of millions of acres for development, mining, farming, forestry, oil drilling, private parks, etc. The government uses the revenue to pay off the national debt and other liabilities. DAY FOUR: The minimum wage is reduced to zero, creating jobs for ex-federal bureaucrats at their market wage. All pro-union laws and regulations are scrapped. The jobless rate falls dramatically. DAY FIVE: The Bureau of Labor Statistics, like the rest of the Labor Department, is sent to that big hiring hall in the sky. Without detailed economic statistics, future economic planners will be blind and deaf. DAY SIX: The Department of Commerce is abolished. Big business has to make its own way in the world, without subsidies and privileges at the expense of its competitors and customers. DAY SEVEN: The plug is pulled on the Department of Energy. Oil and gas prices plummet. DAY EIGHT: All regulatory agencies, from the Interstate Commerce Commission to the Federal Trade Commission, are deep-sixed. Competition is legalized. DAY NINE: HUD is squashed like a bug. There's a buiding boom in cheap, private, apartments. DAY TEN: The interstate highways reopen as private businesses. Road entrepreneurs price travel according to consumer demand. Using modern technology, drivers get bills once a month. Credit risks-and drunks and dangerous drivers- aren't allowed on the road. Non-drivers no longer subsidize car owners. DAY ELEVEN: Government welfare is wiped out. Bums work or starve. The deserving poor find a cornucopia of private services designed to make them independent. Private charity explodes, as the American people, already the most generous in the world, find their incomes almost doubled, thanks to the tax cuts. DAY TWELVE: The Federal Reserve closes its open-market operations and stops protecting the banking industry from competition. But banks can now engage in all the non-bank financial activities previously forbidden to them. The business cycle, which is caused by monetary expansion through the credit markets, is liquidated. DAY THIRTEEN: Federal deposit insurance is scrapped. All insured deposits are redeemed from federal assets, which include the personal assets of high-level government employees. The threat of bank runs forces banks to keep 100% reserves for their demand deposits, and prudent reserves on all other accounts. There are no more inherently bankrupt banks propped up by the government, at taxpayer expense, and no more bail outs. DAY FOURTEEN: The shaky fiat dollar is defined in terms of gold, with the ratio determined by dividing the government's gold stock by all existing dollars on that day. DAY FIFTEEN: The federal government sells National and Dulles airports to the highest bidder, and stops all subsidies to other socialist airports around the country. All constraints on airline prices and service cease. It costs more to fly during peak hours than off-peak, but overall, air travel drops in price. DAY SIXTEEN: All government regulations that create and sustain cartels are abolished, including those for the post office, telephones, television, radio, and cable TV Prices plummet, and a host of new and unforeseen services becomes available. DAY SEVENTEEN: Centrally planned agriculture, as imposed by Hoover and Roosevelt, is repealed: there are no more subsidies, payments-in-kind, marketing orders, low-interest loans, etc. Farm prices drop. Entrepreneurial farmers get rich. Welfare farmers go into another line of work. The poor eat like kings. DAY EIGHTEEN: The Justice Department shutters its anti-trust division. Companies, big and small, are free to merge – up, down, or sideways. Stockholders can buy any other company, or sell their stock to anyone else. Marginal producers can no longer battle their competitors with bureaucratic weapons. DAY NINETEEN: The Department of Education flunks the constitutionality test, and is kicked out. Private charities set up remedial reading and writing programs for the former bureaucrats. Federally subsidized sex education and other anti-family programs go out of business. Local school districts become responsive to parents or close, pressured by a fast-growing private school sector (which many more parents can now afford). DAY TWENTY: All federal monuments are sold, in some cases to non-profit groups based on the Mt. Vernon Ladies Association, which owns and runs George Washington's home. The VFW buys the Vietnam memorial. There is much bidding for the Jefferson and Washington monuments. Nobody wants FDR's, so it's torn down and the land sold to a farmer. (With the federal government cut back to its constitutional size, much of Washington reverts to productive uses like agriculture, as in late 18th century.) DAY TWENTY-ONE: The computerized financial and political dossier maintained by the government on every American is erased. The public wanders through the federal offices to make sure, in a reprise of the East Berliners' visits to Stasi headquarters. DAY TWENTY-TWO: Equal rights are granted to all Americans, even members of non-victim groups. There is no affirmative action, no quotas, no set-asides, no public accommodations laws. Private property and freedom of association are fully restored. DAY TWENTY-THREE: The EPA is cleaned out, with all "clean air" and similar big-government laws repealed. Ten thousand lawyers leap from their balconies. Private property is established in air and water. Americans harmed by pollution are free to sue the polluters, who are no longer protected by the federal government. DAY TWENTY-FOUR: Americans are given complete freedom of contract, restoring rationality to malpractice and product liability law. DAY TWENTY-FIVE: Government scrambles for more assets to sell (i.e., the National Zoo, also known as Washington, D.C.) to pay off the liabilities of the privatized Social Security system. DAY TWENTY-SIX: Porno artists have to earn their own livings, as the National Endowment for the Arts tries to raise its budget through sidewalk painting sales. DAY TWENTY-SEVEN: Foreign aid is outlawed as unconstitutional, unjust, and un-economic. Foreign politicians have to steal their own money. The World Bank, IMF, and United Nations close their super- luxurious doors. DAY TWENTY-EIGHT: The American people are given the unrestricted right to keep and bear arms. DAY TWENTY-NINE: The Defense Department is reoriented towards defense. American troops come home from all around the world. We adopt a policy of armed neutrality, remembering the Founding Fathers' teaching that we could not have an empire abroad and a constitutional republic at home. DAY THIRTY: All tariffs, quotas, and trade agreements are put through the shredder. Americans can trade with anyone in the world, without barriers or subsidies. Japanese car prices drop an immediate 25%. In just 30 exhilarating days, we have established the outlines of free market. Radical? Maybe so. Me, I can't wait until Month Two. __________ Llewellyn H. Are the failures in conducting the Iraq War proof that the Conservative world view is misguided? Privatizing all resources. Making unions illegal. Taking away most social services and public welfare. The Libertarian vision implemented by the neo-cons and thier so-called "free market" enterprise planned for Iraq is and will be an utter disaster. Why are so few neo-cons willing to accept that thier so-called "conservative" principles equal failure, dehumanization, and create the massive unemployment we see in Iraq today?
Where can I get free market information besides the census bureau? I'm looking for market information about small lingerie shops in the US. Info at the census bureau is too broad, limiting titles to Women's clothing and Other clothing. Also, how do I come up with a close to actual estimate for sales projections when I submit my business plan to a bank? Any type of projection I use now would be a guess at best, obviously I don't want to come up too low or too high. Thanks.
what are some advantages of a mixed economy? I need to debate with two other economies and im the mixed economy. the other two are centrally planned and free market. im looking for good stuff about my economy and bad stuff about the other two,can u plz help me?
Should governments in free market economies provide large financial assistance to private corporations? The United States government has recently approved a $700 billion bailout of several of the country's financial institutions. This plan is designed to help ease the effect of the credit crisis that is gripping the American economy. Other countries are also announcing financial packages to deal with this situation. So friends do you think that governments should provide financial aid to private corporations. If yes/no why? This is the best opportunity to earn 10 points with your detailed opinion.
Why do people keep saying that Obama is a "socialist" when his economic plan embraces the free market? His economic plan embraces the free market moreso than any democrat before him. And why do people think certain regulations that improve quality of life (in the case of health insurance) are bad? His economic plan also involves big tax cuts for almost everyone, with a roll back of Bush tax cuts for the ultra-rich. so why do you people keep saying that you won't vote for him because he'll increase your taxes? Due with number 4: i think you would feel differently if someone in your family got sick and lost her job and therefore her health insurance. when healthcare is completely for-profit with no regulations, it is impossible for someone with cancer to purchase another health care plan AT ANY COST. You are ok with this person going bankrupt or dying? To me, this is un-American.

How can I find freelance marketing/PR work? I currently work in marketing/PR and am planning on quitting my full-time job in a few months to go back to school and earn a second bachelor's in civil engineering (and thus change careers). While I'm in school, I'll need to earn some money, and I figure a good option for me would be doing freelance marketing/PR projects - flexible hours and hopefully better pay per hour than waiting tables. For those of you that currently do freelance marketing/PR, do you have any tips for finding work? I've browsed craigslist, but that isn't always reliable (I don't want those work-for-free-but-build-your-portfolio jobs). I'm in the Chicago area if it makes a difference. Also, if I create an online portfolio of my work, does anyone know if I can I feature work I've done for my current employer (now or after I leave)? I don't want to get in any copyright trouble. I'm not sure how to approach my boss with that question just yet.
Can you get an estate agent to value your house for free? I have just finished renovating my house and have no plans to move whatsoever, but am really interested to know how much it has (hopefully!) gone up in value, can I get an estate agent round for a 'free' valuation and pretend I am putting it on the market or something? Cheers.
If the Democrats agree to enact some free-market reforms, it might be worth supporting a modest expansion of S If the Democrats agree to enact some free-market reforms, it might be worth supporting a modest expansion of S-CHIP. Otherwise, President Bush should make good on his veto threat. Ten years ago, Congress enacted the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, or S-CHIP, to cover kids whose parents were doing too well to qualify for Medicaid assistance but not well enough to buy their own insurance. Now the program is up for re-authorization, and congressional Democrats want to expand it as a down payment on national health care. The program has already expanded beyond its original mission. New York is planning to cover families that make four times the federal poverty line. Almost 700,000 adults get their coverage through the program. The design of the program abets its growth: When states expand benefits, the federal government picks up most of the tab. The program’s expansion has come at the expense of private health-care coverage. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the Democrats’ proposal would get insurance to 2.3 million additional children but simply replace private insurance for another 1.7 million. (It does not report on how many adults would also lose their private coverage.) Liberals are untroubled by this prospect. The replacement effect “hardly matters as long as the net effect is an expansion of insurance,” says The New Republic. But it means that taxpayers are not getting much bang for their bucks. S-CHIP also creates a trap for low-wage workers. Michael Cannon of the Cato Institute notes that, in combination with other welfare programs, S-CHIP levies a very high effective marginal tax rate on many such workers. If they work hard to make more money, that is, the resulting loss of benefits can put them behind where they started. Senate Democrats would finance the S-CHIP expansion by hiking cigarette taxes. These taxes fall most heavily on the poor; they cannot be hiked much further without stimulating black-market activity; and they will not raise the target amount of money unless a lot more people take up the newly expensive habit. (House Democrats would raise additional money by also kneecapping the private-sector component of Medicare.) A lot of children are going without health insurance for the same reasons that a lot of adults are: Government policies have made health markets dysfunctional. Instead of giving up on those markets and having the federal government pick up the tab, we should fix those policies. We could start by taking two steps the Bush administration advocates. The first is to reform the tax code so that individuals who buy health insurance for themselves can get the same tax break that employer-provided health insurance gets. The second is to allow individuals to cross state lines, and thus jump over their own states’ onerous mandates, to buy insurance. Cannon, the Cato Institute health-care expert, makes a strong case for a third step: treating S-CHIP and Medicaid the way we treat welfare. In 1996, we reformed welfare by block-granting it to the states. Similarly, Congress should give a set amount of money to the states to cover needy families. It should not reward the states for being more generous. The Democrats are in no mood to do any of these things. “Health insurance for kids” is a popular slogan, of course, and much of the business community is with the Democrats. Health-care providers are happy to get new subsidies, and some of them are afraid that Congress will ding them if they don’t get on board. If the Democrats agree to enact some free-market reforms, it might be worth supporting a modest expansion of S-CHIP. Otherwise, President Bush should make good on his veto threat.

Where to find a free-of-charge list of international private investors into food distribution and processing? I am trying to find a $50 million investment into a food distribution and processing conglomerate of growing and new companies in Eastern Europe. This is a type of investment that usually requires an asset investment fund; furthermore, it takes specialized knowledge in the industrial consumer mass market food business. I have heard of companies, from WallMart to Tyson Foods, making plans for East European developing markets. However, I cannot find any concentrated source of information on these companies trying to invest into that market. Even most open investor lists require a purchase or paid subscription. However, by logic, there should be pooled lists of investors seeking worthwhile projects. The usual saying in investment circles is that there is plenty of money - what is missing are good investment projects. Here I have the opposite situation - I just need to find those wise investors! Any help on that?
Where to find free start-up finance spreadsheet to show potential investor eg 3yr revenue projection, etc? I co-founded a start-up. Business plan is in the work. I still need to work on the financial section. I know I should have a CFO work on it. But I don't have $$ to pay/hire a CFO. So I get to wear the finance hat too among other roles. Do you know of free finance spreadsheet templates I could download to use? Need to finish biz plan to show potential investors. Can't show current biz plan as is without figures. Biz plan doesn't mean anything to investors without 3 year financial planning such as revenue projection, dev't cost projection, marketing budget projection, potential # of people for hire, other related finance figures of interest to potential investor. Tks for your help in advance!
Which of these if any would you like to see happen? Taxes raised to pay for more entitlement programs for the poor. The fair tax become law with an amendment to the Constitution forbidding congress to tax the wages, salary, or earnings of Americans. A bill giving amnesty to illegal aliens. Enforcement of immigrations laws and the building of the fence at our southern boarder A constitutional amendment that would make it illegal for congress to add riders or amendments to a bill, that has nothing to do with the original subject of the bill. The government controlling where and when you con get health care. A free market health care plan, that gives everyone the ability to get and manage their own health care. Xailou1: No I did not get these from the news. In fact the news would never refer to Hillery Care as Government controlled heath care. Even though by her own addition that is what it is. I provide both left and right view points to choose from. And if someone has worked hard and earned money for themselves and their family I think they have the right to keep it not have the government take it away. At least at no greater rate than they do from any one else. If anyone has gotten greedy it's the government.
Obama & Clinton Supporters: Have you looked into how much your candidate proposes to spend on their programs? Have you analyzed their positions on where they want the free market successes that the Soviet Union didn't have with central planning until they broke apart and the vast deterioration exposed? Or have you analyzed where your candidate proposed increased spending for health care, the environment, the poor, the elderly, the handicapped, the homeless, illegal immigration, tax increases scheduled for 2011 and their broader effects, etc.?
