How do musicians become famous? How did Lady Gaga become famous? In the year 2008, a myriad of musicians released their works, but only a tiny fraction of them got to enjoy international fame, among whom was Lady Gaga. She went from living in the cheapest apartment she could find and (I quote) “eating shіt” to being called one of the most influential people in the world by Times Magazine, taking first place in Forbes' celebrity list, and let us not forget MTV EMA 2011. What happened? Lady Gaga's rise to fame was brought by the commercial success of her releases, but what caused them to be successful? Is it defined by competition on the free market, or could it be all decided ahead by some elite group? Do “the few and the secret” pull the strings of “the many and the known”? Sounds almost like a conspiracy theory. Sure, maybe getting a bargain with a major record label is half the job, but it wouldn't be fair at all to say that her success is entirely owed to the label she signed up with. You can argue that she is famous solely due to the merit of what she has to offer as an artist, saying that it's infinitely greater than what any commoner has, but that doesn't sound objective to me. there are plenty of undiscovered gems out there. You can also argue that it's still just about being in the right place at the right time, but which place and which time were right? What set her apart from all the other musicians and performers who too were lucky enough to wind up in the right place at the right time with her? Perhaps, the most interesting point is the very beginning. From what I see on Google Trends, her rise to fame hadn't been as abrupt as I thought. She started being noticed in 2008, but it wasn't until 2009 that the Google Search Volume index for “Lady Gaga” reached 0.5 (and went on to exceeded 4.00 that same year). The mechanisms of show business are all so fascinating to me. Anyway, have you seen the dіldo boots Gaga wore on American Idol? That was phenomenal! xD I'm so buying myself a pair of those when I finally get rich. @?, if they pull the strings, why do they pull these particular strings? What is their motive to favor these particular musicians over the other? Isn't it advantageous for them to choose the ones whose music really is good so as to please the consumer? I think it might have started getting worse earlier, like from the 80s, but it doesn't seem objective to me to say that it's worse now than back then. Art is subjective overall, but maybe somebody will find some objective way to measure aesthetic value.
Is Obama finally learning on the Job? In a speech yesterday he compared his policies to Sputnik? Sputnik was the Communist Soviet Unions failed and embarrassing attempt to send up a satellite that crashed in Wisconsin. Obama goes on to list some of his errors over the last 2 years trying to explain why he is going to agree to change his ways and vote to NOT Raise taxes on anyone during a period of time when of high unemployment. Here is his quote... OBAMA: "So 50 years later, our generation's Sputnik moment is back. This is our moment. If the recession has taught us anything, it's that we cannot go back to an economy that's driven by too much spending, too much borrowing, running up credit cards, taking out a lot of home equity loans, paper profits that are built on financial speculation. We've gotta rebuild on a new and stronger foundation for economic growth. We need to do what America has always been known for: building, innovating, educating, making things. We don't want to be a nation that simply buys and consumes products from other countries. We want to create and sell products all over the world that are stamped with three simple words: Made in America." Is Obama learning? Is he giving up his failed government driven policies for a more free market approach that would create jobs in the private sector and get people back to work? Or is he writer for the teleprompter on vacation and this guy is just a fill in? Would it be fair now to call all the Liberals / American Socialist that are pissed Obama caved on raising taxes, little Sputniks? Breaking News. Obama is about to give a speech on the postponement deal for two years on the tax increase. Lets see if he compares himself to Sputnik again or does he just compare anyone who is against the deal as Sputnik to show that he has learned and doesn't want to be associated with his own failed policies. I assume Phillip was being sarcastic and making fun of the folks who thought Obama was the second coming / messiah. "We are the ones we have been waiting for" remember that?
whats in your make-up? And makeup has come a long way since 1914. Very few women these days are willing to rub tinted petroleum products on their faces—unless there's a really brilliant marketing scheme in place to convince them to do so. In fact, consumers have proven again and again that we'll buy practically anything if we thing it will make us look or smell good. What Does Hypoallergenic Mean When on Makeup Packaging? But let's start with a real shocker, just discovered by this writer while researching this article. Did you know that "hypoallergenic" means nothing at all? It's true! The FDA has no requirement in place that systematizes allergy testing for makeup, so any brand that wants to claim its product is "hypoallergenic" may freely do so, to the detriment of makeup wearers with sensitive skin or one of the many allergic conditions so common to modern life. Ditto for "allergy tested". If it's a food product, manufacturers must let us know if products may have potential for loosing nut allergies, but you could rub your face, all unknowing, with pure peanut oil if it's sold to you by a makeup company. The FDA does prohibit the use of super-toxic chemicals, but other than that, (and I quote the FDA regulation) "Cosmetic firms are responsible for substantiating the safety of their products and ingredients before marketing." The FDA doesn't require them to do any particular testing first. Non-Comedogenic Cosmetics - Is there such a thing? So, when a makeup claims to be non-comedogenic (pore-clogging), they're just whistling Dixie. Have you ever seen a lotion or liquid foundation that doesn't dry up in the bottle, causing an occasional clog? Why wouldn't it clog your pores if you failed to wash it off? Of course it would. Oil Free Makeup - Check the Makeup Label to Confirm Now, "oil-free" is something a consumer can check out. Cosmetic companies do list ingredients on the package, and you can read whether there are oils involved, unless they are hidden by chemical names you don't recognize. For example, palm kernel oil is also known by its name of myristic acid, or tetradecanoic acid . No Animal Testing and Cruelty Free - Depends? And wait; there's more. Companies that advertise "no animal testing" or "cruelty-free" products may actually test or buy ingredients that have been tested on animals at other manufacturers'. Look for the label that says "No new animal testing". To get truly cruelty-free products, you may want to choose makeup companies who include in their mission statements a clear stand on cruelty-free products. It's not something you can sue over if you find they're lying, but most corporations won't go to the trouble of pretending to be cruelty free to the extent that they'll include it in a mission statement. Sensitive Skin? Read the Cosmetic Labels Closely for Hidden Ingredients Especially for those with sensitive skin, fragrance free and talc free makeup may be important. You have to read the labels—"unscented" just means that the product doesn't contain a particular perfume, but it often does mean that fragrance has been added to mask the less-pleasant smell of the unfragranced ingredients. Dye free mouth makeup is rare—lipsticks typically have some sort of dye in them, but mineral makeup is usually dye free. And finally, the claim that a product is "dermatologist tested isn't worth the paper it's written on. There are no legal requirements to fulfill in dermatological testing. Even SPF numbers are not to be relied on, since the FDA hasn't been able to determine effective ways of testing products for protection from UVA and UVB rays. Steps to Follow When Choosing a Beauty, Makeup or Cosmetics Product So, what's a gal to do? You can't rely on labeling to tell you what's really going on in your makeup. But there are a few ways you can protect yourself against makeup products that may not be good for you. * The fewer ingredients, the better. After all, if you're exposed to a multiplicity of chemicals, chance are mathematically greater that you will be sensitive or even allergic to one or a combination of them. If your makeup, however, is made of two or three ingredients, you'll be able to check them out more carefully and you won't be encountering a chemical cocktail every time you put on your makeup. * Learn the beauty industry's lingo. Look up the ingredients in your makeup and find out what they're for and what they do. If there are allergies reported against them, you may also find that out in your research. So that's where that rash is coming from! * Remember that you and your skin are unique. Come popular anti-acne face creams contain camphor, which feels cool on the skin and has a slightly mentholated fragrance that smells clean and nice. Most people aren't sensitive to it, but some people are. For these people, using this "calming, cooling" cream can actually cause peeling, redness and dryness. Even essential oils and "all-natural" ingredients may cause reactions. You may be sensitive to something no one else minds at all. You may be just fine with a product everyone else hates. If you experience a rash, breakouts or stinging from your makeup, find one with different ingredients.
What business idea is better? Hi. I would like to start my own company. I have two ideas, but I'm not sure which I should choose. I would like to make six or more figures a year. 1. I would start an Internet asset firm. It would be a firm which buys and builds cheep websites, fixes them up by adding stuff (marketing, ads, content, design, etc.), and then selling them for profit after 6 months. Since you can sell a website for 3-5 times the yearly revenue amount, it should be easy to make six figures since i have a lot of internet marketing experience. To make six figures, I would have to sell a website for 50k after six months meaning, I would have to make a website that makes 10k annually (10 times 5 is 50), meaning in those six months, my site would have to make 5k. That should be easy, since some people can make basic sites that make 10k in a month. After six months, i would sell my site for 50k. And in the last six months of the year, i would do the same thing. Also, i am still making money 24/7 since the revenue from the sites is going to me. So during those six months, the sites are still making me money. People already do this, it is called website flipping. 2. I would start a website like Linkedin, but with a focus on creating a more realistic experience. I am being quoted $800 for a very nice script. I would make money by having a free level and a pro level. I would also make money by having employers pay me to list their job openings. I would also make money from ads. Which company should I start?
Possible that Jared Lee Loughner was into "Soveriegn citizens/freeman'' stuff? The grammar/fiat currency stuff caught my attention but he's simplistic in detail / reference. The ''free mans on the land'' is a fairly new movement thats more popular in Canada then here in the US but they refer to definitions / grammar / capital manipulation ''kinda'' like whats in his vids. They argue that U.C.C. is the true law of the land and that maritime law / Admiralty law or ''law of the sea'' has merged with land making every facet of life a corporatist business transaction. That administrative case law and Admiralty laws are the same thing but most people don't understand it except judges and lawyers. They are listed via Gov / ADL / Southern Poverty Law Center as ''paper terrorist'' Look it up...ugh clogging up mostly district court processes everything from tax evasions / free medical / free schooling using public SS# / Stock market # to control funds and make self perpetuated documents blah blah blah... Basically they argue that administrative law and most gov recognized paper work in general are dark by design turning to definitions in Blacks Law Dictionary comparing them to common type of English language dictionaries pointing out differences most people don't understand. They are claiming predatory manipulation of the English Language and it enables the Gov to snatch private property like houses and cars threw something as simple as DMV paper work / car registration. Jared Lee Loughner said stuff like... Control your grammar / teach kids how to replace the alphabet / Learning 3rd Language / i define this - i define that... Quote: ''You're literate, listener?'' Quote: ''You don't have to except the federalist laws'' UCC? Quote: ''Property owners and Gov officials are no longer in ownership of property'' predatory docs? Quote: ''apprehend all treasonous laws'' paper terrorist? Quote: ''Can't trust the current government because of ratifications'' Improper ratifications? Quote: ''No! I won't pay dept with currency that's not back by gold or silver''... Quote: ''Every Human who is mentally capable is always able to treasurer their own currency'' Confederate Money/Private Silver Manufacturers/Feds raid Liberty Dollar ''NORFED''? NORFED Backed currency was big with the sovereign citizens movement I think it might be possible that he has been reading or starting to read Sovereign Citizens type literature but not efficiently comprehending it. idk just my 2 cents..ugh

Which online business idea should I do? Hello. I would like to start an online business over the summer. My goal is to eventually make six or more figures a year. I have two ideas which I think could be really profitable. The problem is, I was quoted 40-50 thousand to make each site. I just dont have that kind of money to even build one site. I will list the ideas below, and could you please tell me which idea you think is more profitable. How should I go about building the site? Should I hire someone on craigslist, rent a coder, etc.? Or should I try to build it my self? What should I use? I dont know programming or coding or web design. 1. My first idea is a website where users can submit original songs and other users can listen, rate, comment, share, and chat with other users. Users could also create a page where they could post info, and find new band members. I like this idea since the only competition is www.purevolume.com. PureVolume is making $300 a day! If I make a better site, why can't i make that or more? I would sell ad space on the site. Accounts would be free, but if the site became big enough, I would create a pro membership that costs money in addition to the free account. If you think this idea could be profitable, how should I go about creating the site? I got quoted 40-50k to build by a web design firm. Should I use Kickapps which lets you create a social network site where user submit content (videos, MUSIC, videos etc.) for a small fee? Should I hire a developer on rent a coder? 2. My last idea is a website where users could post, list, sell, buy, auction, and trade websites. An ebay or amazon marketplace for websites. Users would post the site link with info and a snapshot and price, and other users would buy the site if they wanted to. I would take a small 4% commision from the sale. I would also sell ad space on the website. This website has some competition such as websitebroker.com, flippa.com, and sitepoint.com, but the potential is huge, and there is room for another player. If you think this site is profitable, how should I build it? Should I hire someone or build it myself. If build it myself, how should I build it? I really want to make one of these websites with as low startup as possible. I know I would have to market like crazy and do site matinence, but please help me. My parents think i should do a business like normal teens where you mow the lawn, babysit, etc, but I really want to do online business and hopefully make a good living. I think my sites ideas have potential. Which idea should I do? Which idea is more profitable? Even if you think they are not profitable, which would you choose if you had to? How should I build it? Thanks! PS, I am becoming a dealer at Kaeser and Blair and selling promotinal products to get me some startup cash for my online companies (websites). Thanks!!

You pay $1000 to them and they give you liscense to re sell there website building software on your own website and charge fees per month. they were reviewed in small business opportunity mag as a good opportunity and bbb says they are legit. 4. My last idea is to make a website with lots of articles, reviews, comparisons, etc. on cell phones. I would also sign up to be an affiliate with verizon, att, sprint, etc., and sell phones on my site. I know there are a lot of competition out there such as phonearena, phonedog, cnet, and mobiledia, but each site doest the same thing as the other site, and they all are making great money. By the way, is a website like this or a website in general considered a company? Could you be a CEO of the company that runs the website. Like if I call the site www.sprocketfish.com, could I make a company called Sprocketfish Inc. that runs the website and could I be CEO of Sprocketfish Inc.? I really want to make one of these websites with as low startup as possible. I know I would have to market like crazy and do site matinence, but please help me. Is bill gates into eugenics? Microsoft's Bill Gates uses his Foundation to finance death in third world countries --------------------------------------... I notice that people seem to denounce the possibility or deny the fact that Bill Gates uses the proceeds from selling his Windows operating system and other software to finance eugenics and death through Planned Parenthood. I heard a little about this mentioned in the alternative media, which is free to report on what it wants because the alternative media mostly functions independantly of government control through the FCC. People need to know that the FCC is government control of communication, which is a vital component of Communism because government controlling communication is specifically mentioned in the Communist Manifesto as established by Karl Marx. It is amusing to see people's reaction to facts. It is humoring to see these people go through the psychological process of deceiving themselves in some desperate attempt to use it as a safety mechanism, trying to protect themselves from knowledge that will actually help them. They have been conditioned to defend something that was instituted to destroy them. It reminds me of destructive cultures all through recorded history that the current population even in this country (America) is claiming to be smart enough to avoid becoming like. But yet it goes to prove how it is used on a population. Anyway, I mentioned of Bill Gates financing eugenics in Africa and apparently someone disbelieved but yet didn't originally look into the information. This person was reacting as if I was crazy and making false claims. They requested a burden of proof apparently to see if I really knew the facts. But I am not angry because this had motivated me to really look to discover what the claim was about and I was shocked at how easy it was to find the facts and in "official" places. I found the information on Bill Gates' official foundation website as well as Planned Parenthood site. Not merely just on a "conspiracy theorist" website. Enjoy looking at this information and deal with the guilt factor that EVERYTIME you purchase a Macro$oft product (because there is nothing "micro" about a company that has 95% market share), a portion of that money finances death around the world, through his "charities" of death. Which online business idea should I pick? Hello. I would like to start an online business/company over the summer. My goal is to eventually make six or more figures a year. I have two ideas which I think could be really profitable. The problem is, I was quoted 40-50 thousand to make each site (except for the other business ideas). 2. My second idea is a website where users could post, list, sell, buy, auction, and trade websites. 3. My third idea is to sign up for resellerdynamics.
