why is online gambling illegal, but playing the stock market is legal? isn't playing stocks gambling too? yea your answer not being related to the question shows your ignorance. online poker isn't all about random chance. there are more skilled players than others. this is for online only, not the physicality aspect of gambling. this isn't about outlawing the stock market. of course gambling is still legal outside of online. if you were to put money into something hoping to get a positive return, that is taking a risk and gambling, regardless if there is anything of value you get with your initial investment. you can't just stereotype,and say the total sum return will never exceed the initial sum for all gamblers. And not all online gambling games are a game of chance, despite what the law reads.

Is this legal, a marketing company hiring people to serve debtors? I just read a post in Spain's loqou web site, someone claims that a marketing company can not serve anyone to go to court in order to settle a petty debt becuase the court fees alone are more and these petty debts can be recovered after one finds a job, most are protected by the jurisdictions of their own EU country anyway. The person says that a Spanish marketing firm uses a loop hole where they locate a person (through adverts like personals, language exchange etc) then find a flat mate of theirs, serve them using the flat mate as a agent with out been aware. When the flat mate agrees to accept the documents, he can refuse then straight away once aware that he is been used as the middle person to bring the person with the debt to a small claims court, the person who is been served is usually someone visiting spain, student or passing through, however the marketing company who hires people to seek men online pretending to be single woman, students etc can not themselves serve or they have to appear in court and the Spanish Judge will throw the case out and make the individual (not the company who hires them) pay the court fees, this is becuase they are not legally private investigators or directly working under one or a registered lawyer. Online market problems--what should I do? (This happened to my mother, but I'm going to state the question in first person for my convenience.) A while ago, I bought a Louis Vuitton travel bag for about $300 on one of those Ebay like online market sites, where just about anyone can buy and sell. Because many uncertainties may occur when purchasing and selling items, it is a rule on the site that the buyer and seller must send the check and the item sold on an arranged day; so in other words, AT THE SAME TIME. However, after sending the check, I awaited the arrival of the bag, and seeing how it did not arrive on the scheduled day, I contacted the seller to see if anything was wrong. She pushed that she did sent the item and that it should arrive shortly. Luckily, the item did arrive. However, I took at look at the track number, and it turns out that the item was sent the DAY AFTER she received my check. This was the beginning of my unease. Another point: In her description of the bag, she stated that the bag was in very good condition, (which was the reason for the high price). However, I inspected the bag and found a lose nail here, and a torn string there, and so decided to return the bag. I told her that she did not mention these things in her description and thus the sell a little deceitful. She agreed to accept the return under a condition. She asked if she could send the check in ONE MONTH, because she did not have any money at the moment. I told her that this was unacceptable. I was feeling quite a bit uneasy about this transaction due to the previous episode. I tried to reach a compromise, telling her that if she could send a check right now, that I would not cash it at the bank until a month later, or until she gives the OK. However, she said she could not do this, and ignored all my messages afterward. Not knowing what to do, I went through her old messages and found the contact information for her friend (lets call him Joe). I contacted Joe and he said that he would tell her to return my messages and phone calls. But nothing happened for the next several days. So I called Joe again; he said he did not know what was going on, and that he would tell her to stop ignoring my messages. But nothing happened again for the next several days. By now I am very nervous, and I told Joe that if she continues to evade me, I will put her name on the "black list" on that site. Hearing this, the woman finally contacts me saying that I can "put her name on the black list or whatever I want" and that she was so offended that I would do this, that she cannot accept the return! What should I do!? Is there anything I can do about this? Is there a legal way of dealing with this situation? I am desperately in need of help.

Is it legal for school to pay off a student's government debt? I fell into the University of Phoenix online trap because I was a new mother trying to work at the same time and didn't know any other way to get an education and raise my kid, without quitting my job. I paid their high tuition and graduated. It was only after I should have received my diploma was I told that they accidentally dispersed too much pell grant money to me earlier in the year, many months ago, and that I had to pay THEM back instead of the government (who I could have made plans with). I couldn't figure out if what they were telling me is legal or not. I couldn't determine if the money was really owed to the government or not because the only bill I ever received was from the university of phoenix. Had they let the government bill me, that would have seemed like substantial proof, and I would have gladly set up payment arrangements or anything. But in UoP billing me, I was denied my diploma and all information I need to get a better paying job to pay these loans that are now crashing all around me. I know that part doesn't matter, but what does confuse me is whether this practice is legal, deceptive marketing, or whatever.

How do i find out the legal owner of a car if i have his license plate number and VIN? I found a car online and have spoken to a person saying he is the owner. The car is well below market value and i would need to travel a bit to pick up the car. the person i spoke to has asked that i either wire the money to him or give him cash. America must lead the world in energy-efficient, environmentally responsible, commercially viable innovation, including wind, solar, geo-thermal, ethanol, and biofuel technologies. 7) I will give Americans more control over their health care with affordable and portable free-market solutions. We can improve the quality of health care while decreasing costs through increased competition. Solutions can include reforming the tax treatment of health care, expanding portable health-savings accounts, encouraging state-by-state innovations, and reforming the legal system. 8) I will increase adoptions, decrease abortions, and protect the quality of life for our children. We need to take advantage of the common ground in America to reduce abortions by increasing adoptions and assuring that individual choice is well informed. We need to measure our progress toward these goals. We need to reduce the high costs of adoption. And we need to protect our children against sexual predators and online pornography. 9) I will reform the legal system and appoint strict constructionist judges. America must reform its legal system. We need to eliminate nuisance lawsuits through “loser-pays” provisions. Tort reform can help us reduce costs passed on to the consumer, such as higher insurance premiums. Activist judges threaten to expand the power of the courts beyond the bounds established by the Constitution; we must reassert the proper balance. 10) I will ensure that every community in America is prepared for terrorist attacks and natural disasters. Homeland security and national security are now inseparable. We need to ensure that local first responders are trained to meet natural disasters as well as terrorist attacks. We must improve information-sharing between local, state, and federal authorities. And we need to repair vulnerable infrastructure to minimize the impact of terrorist attacks and natural disasters. 11) I will provide access to a quality education to every child in America by giving real school choice to parents. Education reform is a civil-rights struggle and the key to improving America’s competitiveness in the global economy. We need to empower parents and children by expanding school choice. We need to promote math and science, while ending the digital divide. 12) I will expand America's involvement in the global economy and strengthen our reputation around the world. We need to strengthen our country by engaging aggressively the global economy. The mission of the State Department needs to be focused on acting first and foremost as an advocate for America. Fostering trade and educational and cultural exchange will promote the expansion of freedom. These 12 Commitments offer an action plan to focus America on the future. Over the course of this campaign, I’m going to present each policy in greater detail. And when we get to Washington, we’re going to put these ideas into action. Guided by these 12 Commitments, we will hand our nation over to the next generation far better than it was handed to us.
