How does one succeed in network marketing/mlm? Ok, I have now tried several different companies that have been around 20 plus years with reputable products that I have used and seen results from and are easy to get excited about. I have tried warm market, cold market and pre-interviewed leads. I have followed a script (Dani Johnson). I have a positive attitude and have done a little studying into sales and communication. I have gone to meetings, been on conference calls and have bought promotional materials (catalogs, demos, etc). But I have not had 1 sale, much less sponsered anyone. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. How can someone like me, who has so much desire and puts forth so much effort, succeed instead of just watching others who do so much less get so far ahead? I really want to know what I'm doing wrong so I can be successful. Any serious advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm not looking for "get rich quick". I know that to succeed in anything, it takes hard work and commitment. I'm just trying to figure out what the people I'm watching make millions have that I don't. That is only if the investor wants to. With my expertise in marketing and the combined efforts of all the investors this can be an enormous venture that flourishes. I think the key to getting people to invest is making sure they want loose or be scammed out of their money. On the other hand a little off topic, there is the auto surf market. (This is just to prove a point) The autosuf industry is still going very strong. People invest thousand of dollars in the market. They never know what can happen to their money. Yet they continue to invest. There are many incidences where the owner runs off with everyone’s money and nothing can be done. For those of you who don’t know what the auto surf market is here is an example. You get paid 12% for 12days. In the end that’s 144% return 44% profit. So if you invest $1000 you get 1444 back in like 18-20days because of processing time. Everyone knows it will crash. They don’t know when it will. I don’t recommend this industry, because it’s very risky. The point I’m trying to make is there should be enough people out there that can actually invest in something that there is almost a 0% chance of loosing money and a 100% chance of gaining. I’m not going to ask anyone for any money up front. I think we should build a base of people willing to invest first. Then we all can decide what to invest in. With me leading the process. The opportunities to pursue are endless. I have tons more information on this. I’ve already gotten a few friends ready to go. Here is what I need. Talented people to design, budget, help market, writers… Most of all the investors From people investing $10-100 to people investing $1000 and up. Why Do So Many People Suck At Network Marketing? It seems as though 95-97% of people who get involved in network marketing end up failing. The people who actually make money are at the top of the pyramid so to speak the founders, owners of the company and the people who got in early and were positioned at the top of the hierarchy. But yet the people who fail miserably continue sticking with it posting inspirational quotes to try and inspire themselves and others to keep going ,even though in reality they are never going to be successful or at least not to the point that they can quit their day jobs and do it full time. This to me fits in with Einstein’s theory of insanity doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results. It’s practically mandatory to go outside of your primary business and create side ventures in lead generation so that hopefully you can get some halfway decent leads who may or may not join your primary business but hopefully (it’s a crap shoot) you can make money from anyway through the lead generation venture or whatever you have going on, on the side. I have witnessed alot of lying and deception first hand. It’s like companies try and condition their reps to be manipulative cult leader types who pray on the desperation of others in order to bring them in and mold them to continue doing the same. Alot of people “fake it until they make it.” in other words they pretend that they are successful and earning a full time living by selling the companies products/services, recruiting/training reps but if you call them for any reason they aren’t home because they are “at work.”
Why Is It So Difficult For Most People To Make Money In MLM Or Network Marketing? 95-97% of people fail to make any sort of income yet alone sustainable income that they can live off of. They may have a few commissions here and there, but it’s few and far between and not even enough to pay for a pizza at the end of the month in most cases. In spite of the fact that these people break their asses, going above and beyond everything they’ve been told to do. They invest in training, advertising, lead programs and other products that have supposedly been designed to help them succeed. Over time their viewpoint goes from assuming success as an optimist to assuming failure as a pessimist. Being as how they’ve tried so many different things and invested so much time and effort only to end up not getting a return on that investment. Their goal is to make money and they end up losing more than they are making especially if they aren’t making anything. These people often become angry, bitter and resentful toward humanity in general for not enabling them to succeed and enjoy the good life they were promised they were going to be living when they got into the industry. They start to think friends, family members, neighbors, associates, community leaders etc are conspiring against them so that they don’t succeed and receive a “reality check” thus abandoning this “non sense” of pursuing financial independence and go back to “working a real job.” but for many of these aspiring network marketers that isn’t an option as “real jobs” are in short supply these days it’s more of a privilege to have a job in this economy than a given right like it used to be. Failure simply isn’t an option but for so many becomes a painful reality.

Although a small company in terms of staff, it delivers services nationally to some major clients. My role involves marketing and graphic/web design. These are my main duties: • Management of all Marketing & PR activities • Design of company website, marketing literature, email marketing, display advertising and any other promotional materials, including client presentations • Lead management - involves advanced Excel functions • Database management • SEO/PPC • Internal communication • Management of business partner relationships (2 major mobile network providers) • An element of performance management Although I don't hold a marketing qualification, I have now been in the job for 2 years and get positive feedback from my employer. I earn £14.5k basic + bonus. Despite promises otherwise, the bonus scheme is barely worthwhile - weighing in at £200 quarterly (before tax). Comments appreciated!

I have a question for the group? I have recently been contracted to become a marketing arm for an unsecured debt elimination program that is not only legal and ethical but the system has been upheld by the Alabama Supreme Court. It’s very simple to do if you know how and my contractor is not divulging any of his proprietary secrets. My plan is to sell a membership to one person in every city in the US for their use as an exclusive territory. They will advertise locally at their own expense, or advertise on the many free ad sites on the Internet. The leads will call them, they will discuss the program, collect their paperwork and fees and FedEx the package to me. Once everything is in place we pay them a 25% commission ($625-$1250 per sale) until they do $250,000 in Revenue. Then they’ll increase to 30% ($875-$1500 per sale). Basically they do the legwork, we do the grunt work and they make an outstanding commission. So if they made 1 sale per week they would make over $32K per year, but if they make 3 sales a week, they’re now into a 6 figure income. Membership fees are nominal, but they are population based. The cost for the membership will be $500 per 1M people according to the latest census. They can buy more than 1 territory. We will not advertise for customers or compete with them in their territories. Even though we are building a network of direct sales professionals this is NOT Network Marketing. This is NOT MLM in any way, shape or form and our system is only available in the USA. There are basically 300 cities in the US that I want to sell a membership in. My question to the group is this; most of the online sources such as Craigslist, Backpage or Kijiji will only allow you to advertise for free in one city. Without actually taking out an expensive ad in 300 local newspapers around the country, what would be the fastest, easiest and least expensive way to get the word out to as many people as possible who may want to take advantage of this opportunity? I have a website ready to go up, but I’m having a problem figuring out how to set up and acquire the squeeze page information into a database. I’ve talked with InfusionSoft about their CRM software, but it’s over $7k to start up, and $400 a month. That’s expensive for a start-up. Not to mention it kills my entire marketing budget. I got into a business that involves a product that I LOVE and I will be crushed if this doesn't work out. In the past I was not passionate about the products but this time I am. There has to be other ways to build your business rather than bothering your friends (that you end up losing anyway because you resent them for not getting involved and don't want that happening again either), buying expensive hit and miss leads or just putting ads in the local supermarket. I was with Primerica last year and got licensed through them. Things didnt take off for me because i am not an outgoing people person. i love to help people and educate them but i am not good at in your face dont take no for an answer sales or networking. my warm market wasnt so warm and primerica didnt help with leads. The rep from WFG said they help with leads. It seems different than Primerica in a few ways that i can get on board with but i just want to make sure i will get farther with WFG.
