Is there a legal process to using network marketing for your product? I have seen more and more companies do this. I am wondering if there are legal procedures to go through? Also, how is everyone paid for their refferals or sales if they are not on the company payroll? Basically, how does this all work for the company and can any company use network marketing if it fits their product?

How's the legal market in Philly? Best places for a young lawyer to live? I'm graduating law school in May, and my husband and I are considering moving to Philly. He's from there, but I'm from New York. We have friends and family in the area, and the housing is way more affordable than Manhattan. Does anyone know how the legal market is in Philly? And what areas of the city are recommended - for a young couple who don't have much money to throw around (gotta pay those loans!). I'd appreciate any info you can give me!

How is the legal market in hawaii? I may be moving to Hawaii about a year from now and sitting for the Hawaii bar. I would like to know how ample legal employement opportunities are. Is it particalarly difficult for a non-Hawaiian to get a job? Are there certain areas of legal practice that predominate in Hawaii? Any information would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks! by the way, I assume most of the legal opportunities are in Honolulu. However, there must be exceptions to this rule. How many lawyers are actively practicing law on the other islands? Legal issues in a marketing case? Is it illegal to hire a salesman who has signed a contract with a competitor? I'm not interested in hearing about the morality of the salesman working for two competing clients, just if it's 1. legal to hire him 2. legal for him to accept the offer.

What is the UK legal market like? Is getting a job as a lawyer in the UK difficult? I have recently been accepted into a good UK law school; it is ranked within the top 10 schools, and has ties to solid firms. How difficult is it to land a job as first year associate? What is the pay like? Here is the catch, I'm not a UK citizen, but I would like to work/practice there, with the possibility of staying; how does this factor into the equation?! Thanks for any help/advice!
How can I find a marketing company and do I need an attorney first? I have a product I would like to get developed. It's very simple. But I need a company that can help with licensing, packaging, legal stuff, and marketing. Also, should I see an attorney to draw up a non-disclosure agreement first before I present my idea to any marketing company? I'm in Northeast Ohio. Any ideas?
What is the best career for someone living in Baton Rouge (e.g. engineering, legal, marketing, etc.)? I am a 37-year-old male desiring a change of career. My current employment is great in every way except that I work away from home about half of the month and there does not appear to be any upward movement possible in this particular company. I hate being away from my family and do not want to be working like this when I am 65. I would love to go back to school for at least an MBA but also (if possible) a Master's or PhD in a technical curriculum (I presently have a BSEE) unless a different path would be more ideal for employment in the Baton Rouge area (law is also one of my interests). My annual income goal is $150+ I worry that I have already reached the age where employers are more interested in a younger generation. Any ideas?
I am a marketing major that is graduating in a year. Is it legal to create...? Is it legal to create marketing materials to beef up your resume? Lets say it was posters and videos; would I get in trouble for using copyrighted items such as logos and trademarks to create something an advertising agency might create? I have some background in web design and filming and editing videos and would like to know if the below scenarios are viable. Example: Diet Pepsi. I like drinking Diet Pepsi and would create a 30 second "TV commercial" that I think a typical advertising agency would produce (although on a much lower budget and scale) Example 2: Video games. Lets say a new highly anticipated video game will be coming out and I then go and create a typical 1 page magazine advertisement for it. Question 1: Is it okay for me to do both? Question 2: What if I decided to upload both the video and poster to media sites such as facebook, youtube, and my own personal website (like in a list of "fake ads" I've made) Question 3: I know credit should be given where credit is due, so if I clearly state that I do not own any of the copyrights and trademarked terms in both the videos/posters/websites somewhere, would that be ok? Question 4: Is there a correct term for what I want to do above? Creating fake ads to showcase my creative talents. Sorry for the lengthy question, but times are hard and jobs are scarce...companies only seem to want to hire high gpa / Ivy league students or even accomplished professionals for entry level positions. I thought by doing this, I may have a stronger resume and be more competitive for an internship! Thanks in advance!
Is text marketing legal? We have 5 cellular lines in our family plan and some mobile car wash company periodically sends us text messages. We do not have a text message plan so every time we receive a message. it costs us $.10 which is not a lot but it adds up. Plus it's the matter of principle; why do I even have to pay a single dime for some one else's business? Is there a legal action I can take against this guy? I tried calling AT&T and they said that I have to add a feature for $4.99/month so I can block certain numbers from sending me the text messages.
Do we really have the 'best legal recruitment market in years'? Why do people say that, for law firms, we have the best legal recruitment market in years? Is it because people are being laid off therefore there are skilled people out there ready to recruit? I'd be interested to hear from someone with knowledge of the profession who can explain this to me, thanks.
Is it legal to use Fraternity/Sorority money raised up for a specific event to run the chapter instead? So I know of a Fraternity/Sorority who marketed their philanthropy and a lot of people donated money for a specific event and now they are using that money to run the chapter. Is this legal? to market that all proceeds will go to a free event and then the left over money for the same event for next year is being used to run their chapter? It doesn't seem legal to me but I wanted to get an opinion and help in here.
Can someone please explain to me how the futures market is legal? It seems to me that the speculation in the futures market (among other things) seems to be one of the biggest factors influencing high energy and food costs. I don't understand how the federal government can allow this to happen without imposing some kind of regulations. I don't want to get into a party debate here, I just want to know how this all works from a purely economic point of view.
Opt In Email Marketing - Legal or Not? I have a customer list from my online business that is 20,000 strong with duplicates deleted. Unfortunatly my site has never offered a "join our mailing list" and now I have a list of 20,000 customers. I'd like to start sending out regular customer specials but I dont' know if I can do this. I'd like to use iContact.com to do it. I receive regular emails from companies that I buy from all the time. I'll buy something from company a and within a week i'm getting a newsletter or a deal of the day type of thing. Always with an "unsubscribe" option. I received one today from a very reputable company saying "you are receiving this because we have had a business relationship in the past".... Here's my 2 questions: 1. Can I market to my 20,000 customers simply because I've sold to them in the past? 2. If no to question 1, can I send an email to all 20,000 asking them if they'd like to receive emails from my company. If yes, click here if no, you'll not hear from me again. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Aaron
Lucid, a legal absinthe liquor, is to hit the market in June. Anybody know an online retailer? Absinthe has been banned in the USA for a century, despite the original accusations that it was hallucinatory and caused insanity having been debunked. Lucid, from Viridian Spirits, is to be the first legal version, and hit the market in June 2007. I would like to buy some either in New Orleans or Houston, or buy it online if possible Anybody know where? For those of you who are under the misconception that I am seeking it for hallucinatory reasons...if that was the case, the suspected chemical is available in other products at much higher concentrations. I want it for one very simple reason...to recreate some very old recipes, and since nothing supposedly tastes identical to the original, then the original is necessary...at least once. check out absinthe in wikipedia, it was NOT an opium issue with this liquor, but rather the use of the wormwood. To make it legal, the levels of thujone had to be much lower than the original, but thujone is also present in many other legal for human consumption substances at levels higher than even the historical absinthe contained....as long as it is NOT derived from the artemisia family.
Is it legal or rightful to use current material market price as cost of material in pricing a product? Trying to understand if such strategy exist or used in business. Are there agencies or group monitoring such pricing method? When a manufacturer for example, acquire raw materials and receives that in the inventory normally calculates the landed cost. Pricing the finished product means adding markup to the bill of materials. What if, let us say that instead of the present cost of raw materials, you have used the present market value. Is it legal or a malpractice in the business or is it the business owner's rights.
Besides being "ethical," can you give me a good argument as to why there should not be a legal market for selling body parts? I mean, if I am broke and have an extra kidney lying around, why can't I sell it? I can help myself and somebody else at the same time. There are long waiting lists for organ transplants, and this would speed things up would it not? If it were legalized there would be a lot of safety precautions so you don't have to worry about infections and such....I mean you still have to worry but you know what I mean. And it will make it more affordable, due to the law of supply. So why not? haha I have a paper to write for school and this is the topic I'm looking to see how I can counter arguments made against my claim.
Is it legal to run automated trading software on stock market, and how to do it? Out of pure curiosity regarding technical and legal aspects (I'm aware of the financial risks), is it legal to run an automated trading software that deals for you, using some kind of pseudo-AI? If it is legal, how can one connect such software to the stock market? I'm guessing going through normal websites would not be suitable in terms of latency/costs, not to mention technically inefficient. Does one require special accreditations/permits to do so? How can one get them? Thanks :o)
what is the best way to market pre-paid legal? My neighbor approached me with an opportunity to work with pre-paid legal services. I researched this company on better business bureau and other sites and think it sounds like an excellent oppourunity. are laser pointers legal to use out in the public? If I buy a laser pointer and start randomly pointing the laser at people outside in the public, am I committing a crime? I'm just curious because back in elementary school, I remember seeing kids do it all the time. They would get some cheap laser pointer from the flee market. Is it legal to do that? I mean if your laser is striong enough..the laser can literally reach far distances...i rather not say any ideas..I chould get in trouble for that but yeahh is it legal to do so?
