What is the average SEO/SEM/Internet Marketer salary in the US? GA?

I am not a complete noob and have good understanding and great passion in Internet Marketing and SEO/SEM - I study and read daily. I would say I have a little over a year's experience. What should a growing SEO company pay in the US for a full time salaried position? How about in the state of Georgia? I just dont have a BA/BS yet but that shouldn't matter when it comes to this field - it's what you can do and how well you can do it.

2. SEOMoz, an extremely respected authority in SEO, has a great post they did a while back. It is a bit dated but if you look at the positions and get an idea of the range, then you can compare to monster.com offerings for your area for the same positions. That should give you a good idea. 3. There really is no useful US average. Cost of living varies so much that it doesn't help my to compare the salaries in NY to those in GA, for example. I've found that SEOs make more when they work in house for a company rather than for an agency. I don't understand why that is, but at the moment that's the disconnect I'm seeing.
