Is "Pro Tools" the best audio mixing program on the market, or is there something better?
I've been wanting to get a new audio mixing program for sometime. I mix and remaster cds in my collection, it's a hobby of mine. I currently have Goldwave to do the job, but I've heard great things about Pro Tools. Is it really the best program out there, and if it is, how much do they cost? Are there programs out there that are simular that are for free?

- yes i thnk so its the best one.
- Audacity is free but not in the same league as Pro Tools http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
- It may be the best, but you PAY a bigger price....I'd try almost any thing else. I've had good luck with Adobe Audition for that purpose. And there are many tools available even cheaper than that.
- Get Audicity. it good for editing and export as mp3 n such.
