How do I get clients for a small bookkeeping service? Marketing ideas?

I have already used flyers and local markets with free ad space.

1. www.craigslist.org you can post a small ad. try and find small local businesses, like if you use a printer on a regular basis, try asking them if you could do a "check stuffer". That is, quite literally, something that gets packed in with people's pay checks. Maybe you could offer them (the workers) a discount if they use you, that could be the nature of the check stuffer.
