Looking for help test marketing my new product?

I am looking for help testmarketing my cat scratching post to cat lovers, I dont want to use Googles adword yet or any other paying marketing service, for now I want ideas on how to test market for FREE. Any Ideas ???

1. Take product to local animal sanctuary. Ask them to try out for free.
2. Send me one I'll let my cat's try it and let you know what they think. Now I know this is just your way of getting people to let you send them your website where you can try to sell them your high priced cat scratching post that looks like a palm tree with a cat bowl on top of it.... 3. Here's one. I don't know the name of your product so I'll just input, 'Awesome Cat Rod' for the time being. If you've ever wanted your cat to enjoy the best scratching of their life, but would rather kill the thing that let it tear apart that tacky looking couch you for some reason love, then you'd be and idiot not to purchase the 'Awesome Cat Rod' for only three easy payments of (whatever the guy who made this thing is selling it for) and your pussy will be scratching it's way straight to heaven for hours upon hours until it explodes due to the 'Awesome Cat Rod's undeniable ability to sends pleasure up and down a feline so fast and furiously, you'll never have to pet that bastard again!
4. If your using the Internet to market your product, the you will need at the very least some form of web site / Blog so potential customers can see what you are offering. I'd search for a good keyword and use this for the title of your Blog - In fact Cat Scratching Post is a very good keyword - 100+ searches a day and Google competition of 58,000. Get a Blog on Tumblr and add some quality content with a link to your CSP. Monitor the site and see if you get any feedback and/or any sales. You'll need to add some tracking software to your Blog to see how many people are visiting (Google provide this - I think it is Analytics) Also, write an article with Cat Scratching Post in the title and get more targeted traffic too. Use ezinearticles to submit your article. Simple! One final method is social networking sites (Web 2.0). Get a video on YouTube showing the Cat Scratching Post in action.
