How can people believe oil is more valuable than a Free and Liberated Muslim Middle East?
A free Middle East ensures peace and security throughout the world. A free market and inevitable globalization makes peace a commodity that far out wieghs any profits that can be made from oil. Oil will be a dwarf in all of the other prospects of a free marketplace throughout the world. Most importantly extremist such as Al-Quaeda, Ham mas, and Hezbholah will lose their economic base and there way of life (remember the Taliban?) will be an impossibility anywhere in the world. Last time I asked only 2 people responded and they supported this idea. I guess the Libs can't argue about this theory. I'm joining----Duh! Ranarenep-----Afree and liberated Muslim Middle East was never on Osama's table of terrorism. He was an ally of the Taliban and preached the words of Mullh Omar the extremist Taliban leader!!! Carla you simply choose to keep your blinders on and aren't open to the bigger picture. RANERANEP the question is how can people believe stop evading and being afraid of being wrong Yes we gave things to "potential" terrorist regimes at the time they were fighting for their interest as wel as ours and they did our bidding well. Then they turned so that fact is moot.

- have you realized that "Al-Quaeda, Ham mas, and Hezbholah " are all in Iraq AFTER USA invaded Iraq? have you also realized that Saddam kept these groups away from his country because he considered them to be a threat to his dictatorship?
- Man this is the cartoon Age people believe all manner of insanity. I actually heard that many people believe Bush is a god. Go big Red Go
- True true and most true. They dont realise that but we people all the way from India definitly do. We know how it is. But as the saying goes, its like throwing pearls to the pigs. They just act like they the only greatest countries in the world and they act like they all just perfect. Hypocrites.
- Remember the Taliban? You make it sound like it is extinct. But more importantly: Are you aware of your question? "....a Free and Liberated Muslim Middle East?" Wow, OK Osama. Guess I had you Republicans all wrong.... This is terrific. You ask a question that you yourself have already asked and answered all by yourself. And you say Carla is keeping her blinders on??? What a sad joke. And by the way, I would include in your question/answer that we gave everything to the Taliban, guns, training, you name it. I'm done with you Randy CIA. I won't waste my time with a person that doesn't mind to cheat, kill, destroy, invade, occupy, etc, if it serves our economic interests. Throw an atomic bomb here, dispose of this CIA operative gone AWOL there(panama), pay and support any dictator in the world that serves our interests.... I know it is all business as usual for you. Just don't lie to yourself in trying to dignify this war as more than what it is. And if you think oil has nothing to do with this war, well, when are we going in Saudi Arabia, Somalia, North Korea, Fiji, Indo,Sierra Leone, etc.? But no. I know you will say "we are not the world's police". But then again, what the hell are we doing in Iraq then? To prevent further attacks? Right. We have only given them more reasons to do so!
- Great observation.. If this war is about oil, then why don't lib (and some pseudo conserves) support drilling off the coast and end the need for foreign dependency?.. Of course rational thinking and logic is not part of liberal agenda. If a levy break, it must be bush's fault!.. If buildings collapsed, it must be Bush that blew up the buildings.. Oh, the libs can argue, they just can't argue using logic. Prime example: Rosie O'Donnell. Ever heard her make a statement in a calm voice?.. carla s: Having a choice of Yes/No on a election and voting no means getting killed is not an election!
- I thought they were free before the US came and spoiled things up.. they elected sadam freely, a at east in irak, i have meet many irakies who used to live there before the us it was a good place to live, with good conditions for women to live a decent life and work,, it was the most developed muslim country in the middle east and that didn t suit the us,, and obviously the oil is there two birds with one stone... for the oil companies its always handy to keep the oil countries in tumoil ,, read the story of nigeria, shell and the oil companies destroyed their way of living and their means of surviving, the swamp they used to live on fishing now the fish are death for constant oil leakage... i mean it is obvious it is an economic battle,, i wonder how people think it is not for oil and money as most of wars. And anyway the type of leader the middle east needs is up to hem to decide,, they probably are better of witha dictator like person who acts as a father.. its in their culture so lets just leave them alone........and abut the taliban remember it was ecconomically supported by the us and the us has always supported extremists that then turn their acks on them i might say conveniently
- They can believe that because their liberal commisars try to get them whipped up into a frenzy. Angry people are easily controlled.
