Obama & Clinton Supporters: Have you looked into how much your candidate proposes to spend on their programs?
Have you analyzed their positions on where they want the free market successes that the Soviet Union didn't have with central planning until they broke apart and the vast deterioration exposed? Or have you analyzed where your candidate proposed increased spending for health care, the environment, the poor, the elderly, the handicapped, the homeless, illegal immigration, tax increases scheduled for 2011 and their broader effects, etc.?

- Obama and Clinton have no idea either!!
- i think everyone should bear in mind that the asker of this question most likely voted for bush TWICE before formulating the appropriate response.
- People who support either of those two also support taking money from the evil rich and evil corporations to give to the poor pitiful poor. So, no, they haven't looked into how much these programs will cost - unless it's to compare to the amount of money that's been spent on the Iraq war.
- Nostrada - Only a Socialist Commie like you would say something like that without caring what happens to your money or to your freedom. Shut up and check out the issues...
- They do not propose any numbers. Math and economics are Chinese language to both of them.
- everyone seems to follow the bush programs now....heck it worked for cheney....
- I hear the Fed is about to go for Obama's stimulus package and Ms Finance, Suzie Orman thinks he's got the right plan.
- I'd rather they spend what they want on programs that will help us than have a Republican spend what they want on the stuff that's hurt us under Bush.
- nostradamus02012, I did vote for Bush twice. I am disappointed that he turned out to be a big government conservative. He was still the best choice in each of those elections. However, Hillary or Obama would dwarf his government spending. They both seem to think that "evil corporations" pay taxes, but they don't. The taxes are always paid by the consumer in the final price. The level of spending that they propose would send this country into ruin and result in another revolutionary war. If they want to help poor lazy people, they should stand on the street corner passing out applications for jobs at McDonalds.
- yes i hv,its not in their hands if you heard on the news.but either partys going to use the money ,its how they use it that counts
- "Their" programs is the key word. which we the people will pay for. If you think we are in a recession now. just wait
- How the heck did Clinton get that huge surplus then?
- I agree! Lets just let the people that can't afford health care fend for themselves, the environment go to hell and poison us all,the poor people starve to death and the elderly, homeless and handicapped just die (maybe shot, it works faster). And while we are at it we can spend trillions on a war nobody wants so Halliburton, oil companies and Chaney's other cronies can get richer. And don't forget to give more tax cuts to the rich and corporations while the middle class pays for the government. Works for me!!
- Their supporters believe that these programs will be paid for by increasing taxes on the wealthy, who have been easily demonized by the left to their have-not constituents, and won't cost themselves a dime. In fact they believe they will be the recipients of these entitlements. It will never happen. Wealth is power...even the most naive democrat believes this in his heart, and the money will never materialize. Corporate America will simply continue to relocate as long as the global market offers cheaper alternatives to higher US taxes, taking their jobs with them.
- How would you go about getting the funds for programs to help those in need? Perhaps if corporate america would quit sending jobs overseas and invest in america and its' people instead of the allmightly dollar, we would not have so many programs needed in this country. People need health coverage, shelter, food and jobs -bring this to us; increase the job base in america and the wages to meet the cost of living and these programs would not be necessary.
- So far not a single reponse that actually answers your question. Here is the answer in regards to Obama's propsed policies and I'm sure (yet unfamiliar) that Hillary's busget is similar. The first step is to put forth a structure to ensure economic growth. We invest in expanding infrastrcture, education and technology, end the war in Iraq and structure or restructure fair trade deals. Secondly we restructure the current tax code. Close loop holes that numerous American Corporations utilize to escape paying taxes at all inside the US. By simply closing a few loop holes an additional $150 billion dollars can be generated. We ensure a fair tax plan for Middle and lower class Americans, to enable this the largest tax group to keep as much money as possible in their own pockets. You see this is the class which actually spends the most money. You give them more money and they will put that money back into the economy immediatily. Of course you must roll back Bush's tax cuts, of which 47.5% went to the top 5% income earners in America. You reinstate PayGO, and control government spending.
