Question about legal Terminology?

i'm wondering if there is a legal term for a problem i'm having. Let's say a buisness, release a product for sale, however you will only allow payment via credit card. I will include some addtional info on the product for clarification. 1) the product can only be purchased online. 2) a portion of the target market are either under-aged, or do not have/use credit cards. 3) the product has a number of high-profile competitors which also allow payment through a points system, but anyone can puchase cards with a set point value at several retailers. 4) when asked if there is an alternative to credit cards, the answer is no. 5) the company does offer such pre-pay cards outside the us. Is there a legal term for this? another related question is if this type of marketing is legal since some of the products offered may appeal to people under the age of conscent?? if you can site laws regarding this, it would be of help. E-mail me if you need more info. Thanks!

  1. I've read your question several times and cannot see what problem exists. Companies are at their liberty to: 1) sell only online 2) sell a product used by youngsters (they may require an adult with a credit card to make purchases) 3) utilize a point system through their dealer/reseller channel 4) only accept certain methods of payment 5) have different terms when doing business in other countries
  2. Not really. Legally speaking, there is no jargon for this. You are looking for a commercial definition. Look up definitions under "Merchant accounts".
