Do you own a home office or business?

If so, what do you do? How did you start? How did it happen for you? I would appreciate any insight or advice. I have been wanting to create a business or service from home, but can't seem to find the right fit. I just want to gain a better feel for all the different ventures out there. Please, DO NOT try and sell be on MLM's, sales, or other unconventional ventures. I really would appreciate information on actual, established home office businesses. Thank you!

  1. I run http://www.freedomgetaways.com it's an online travel agency.I watched http://www.travelproincome.com and it pretty much explained everything to me.It's an online travel business, but my wife and I run it out of our home. She does it full time now.she loves it.We get all the perks of a travel agent like cheap vacations and of course TAX deductions.
  2. ac, I own Hartfield enterprises, www.hartfieldenterprises.com a one man jack of all trades, I started 20 some years ago working in my spare time ( after work) and built a nice little customer base Just make sure you enjoy what you are doing, I considered myself a hobby carpenter and, for the last year or so it has been very busy so busy, I quit my full time job and became a diversified company, by diversified I mean I have'nt put all my eggs in one basket As I work on improving my customers homes I also introduce them to a company that provides wellness products, and I receive a monthly check from that, in addition to what the carpentry business does, just check it out no sales pitch from me! Now when you said "No Sales" the first thing I thought is this person will fail at any attempt at anything why? if you want to be successful you have to sell Sell Yourself , your Business , Your Idea, Ya gotta sell if youre in business for yerself Have fun and good luck egc

  4. I find it interesting that you think MLM sales are unconventional! I'm curious where you got that idea from. I have a home office/business that is indeed established, but it seems you have a narrow vision on business in general even though you say you want a better feel for all different ventures out there. I have been in business for many years, worked a variety of different types and learned where the niche market was. It's unfortunate that you aren't willing to do the same. Best of luck to you!
