EMPLOYERS. Networking for a new career. where on the Sunshine coast can i go.?

I am looking for ways to tap into the hidden job market, i can hold my own when talking to business leaders. I am looking to gain employment with a national or multi national company and work my way to the top. I would like any advise on where to look. Cheers.

1. Attend Chamber of Commerse meetings, keep your ears open for any industry shows or job fairs. Contact a company you are interested in and see if you can do an "informational interview." Call someone who does the job you want or their supervisor and do an information interview on the phone. Remember, during ANY informational interview, the idea is not asking for a job or if they have any openings. Its for information and to get your name out there.
