1. Well I can only tell you what I have done, not everything has worked but different thing work for different people. Of course the first thing most people do is hit their warm market, family friends, co workers. I don't recommend this all the way, unless you know that some of these people would like to join you in the business venture. The reason I say this is that these are people who without meaning any harm will tear you dream apart, they will tell you this will never work, it's a pyramid scheme and tell you that you will not succeed. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM! This is a concept that I truly believe works, just go back to those people once you have some success, then they can't tell you it doesn't work. Depending on the product or service, I would try and get information in places that people who are interested will see. I think that sites like this are great. I myself have stated sites here and MySpace, I've gone to Classmates and filled out all my info and got into the groups there. It's all about exposure. I have contacted a company that gets hits to my site, not to sure about that one yet, I'm getting hits but not much else. A website is a must I think, because you can direct people to it and they don't feel threatened, they can go on their time and get the information. This makes it easy on you too, it's hard to be everywhere at once. Also ask friends if 'they' know anyone, that would be interested, a lot of times they discover that they need or want your product or service, but you and they don't feel as though you have hounded them. 2. Personally I join different forums to meet people and make friends and then I present them my opportunity. I have found that people like to know who they are dealing with first as a friend moreover than being approached with a business opportunity. If you know what I mean. Break the ice bearer and then present your business opportunity.
