Establishing New Television Station (T.V. Channel) in India. Details required ?

I am looking for set up a new Television Channel in India. For the purpose I require details for project plan. Can anybody guide me to avail these details like selection, clearence, procurement of equipment, regulatory proceedures, legal limitations, planning concept and character, preparing for the business plan, Planning & Identifying Suitable Technology Infrastructure, Establishment of Technical Logistics, Creation of T.V. Network, Training, Marketing, Brand Building and Distribution, launching etc., etc.

1. Its much easier to set up a TV channel in India if you are a major brand somewhere in the world. The first process is to acquire a license for this from the Ministry of I&B and Prasar Bharti. You have to also prepare a memorandum which talks everything about your business from the channel programming to the media sponsors to the people you are partnering with to go live. You also have to get clearances from the censor board to ensure that you are not about to broadcasting anything improper. The memorandum also needs to list details such as if this will be a 24x7 channel, a news channel, an entertainment channel etc. Once all the clearances are done you need to buy a broadcasting slot on a specific satellite which is very expensive. Unless you have a huge cash outlay all by yourself you are better off partnering with a major information co such as News Corp, Sky, Times Group etc. to launch your own channel.
