- I'm not sure what you mean by "legal market" that doesn't already exist. :-? Do you mean to buy & store organs which aren't yet needed? If so, my impression is that such is not a problem - there aren't enough organs to go around, so I don't think there's any issue there. Or do you mean the type of setup where a healthy person could go and sell one of their two organs even though they're perfectly healthy? If that's what you mean, then yes, I would favor that. I favor that because I'm all for anything that permits us greater freedom with what to do with our own bodies. There are situations people can get into where they could stand to sacrifice one of their two kidneys if it would help get them out of some kind of serious or severe debt, and I for one would not be opposed to letting such transactions become legal. It would be a difficult situation to go through, but some people consider that option anyway - as with abortions, it would be better to have it done in a legal, clean environment than in some back alley somewhere.
- There is no "legal market" for sale of human organs in the USA.I don't believe human organs should be sold to the highest bidder or through the black market, the legislation in place prevents these two issues and the laws should stay that way. michaelthomas http://www.hearttransplanttalkblog.blogspot.com
