Why do people in MLM (Network Marketing) never address the math issue of exponential growth?

All the hype that MLMers use to promote thier industry is on the growth factor of recruiting a larger and larger downline. Why will none of these MLM people ever address the ridiculousness of the growth they profess...specifcilaly that even a 3x3 matrix exceeds the entitre population of the planet in less than 30 levels. Most of them only seem to think 7 to 10 levels deep, but never consider that all those people on the 7th or 10th level will also need to recruit many levels deep or else they will never stick around. Are people in MLM just trying to make a quick buck cashing in on the pyramid or are they really this oblivious/naive?

  1. You answered your own question.
  2. I agree with the other answer and it is sad but true... actually to go a step further, most people don't even think that far as they are sold on the hype and NEVER consider the facts... comp plans can be very difficult to understand and most people don't want to bother with it... they just 'buy the hype' as you have said... Consider this, if an MLM recruiter DID really lay out the facts about matrix systems, people wouldn't join, would they? Not all MLM companies are out to make the quick buck, but they are far and few between. Ignorance IS NOT BLISS, as Brian Tracy says... but there are obviously a lot of ingnorant people out there.... sorry ... but this subject is a REAL 'soap box' thing for me...so I best get off the box now... lol ~jennifer
  3. Most MLM company has good but limited range of products & relatively high prices, so the team cannot grow up. Take a look to this video, & we have a better way to solve this problem www.blognow.com.au/ecosway
  4. I will definitely admit that most MLMs will go after the quick bucks. In fact I joined Acai Plus a year ago when it first got launched. I believed since it was a new MLM, I could get in first and then make some big bucks. Boy was a I wrong.... After about 4-5 months the company started to change all its pay plans, bonus pools and policies. It really pissed a lot of us off and plus they wouldn't allow you to contact your down line. Long story short, my whole team has moved on to a new company and we got out of this company. Since then our team has lead a prosperous path with our new company. Long story short, it doesn't matter how the good the company is as long you have a good team. If one company dies out or flakes, you can move your team to a different company granted you keep good relations. Check out my Sponsors' website as he offers much advice, tools, and ideas to expand your MLM goals. He will also give you all the complete break down of the payplans with the opportunities he is invested with. WWW.thebrokerjones.COM
