Career Change to software, Options for me?

I am looking for a career change to software. I am good in communication & aptitude. Also i am going to complete my Post Graduate Degree in Marketing management (Distance Education) 1. Is software Testing /QA is promising career? 2. Software development, if so what programming i need to concentrate, for successful career change! 3. If either of them not so reality for me, Can i successful transisition to Software Vending or Distribution or marketing!.. Please kindly your honest answers.(Currently I am an educational counsellor)

1. 1. Yeah, it can be quite good! 2. Can be painful. Go with something open, rather than something with vendor lock-in. 3. Marketing is also a little hectic, but would probably be best for you.
2. Try for distributing and marketing of software products. If you have more interest try learning C++. but C is the basic language.
