2. Don't get an MBA from a crappy school. Look at the MBA rankings from businessweek.com and ft.com. Notice that the average salary of graduates is nearly directly proportional to the schools ranking. An MBA from some correspondance college nobody ever heard of is nearly worthless. Do what it takes to get into a good school or don't bother.
