Besides being "ethical," can you give me a good argument as to why there should not be a legal market for

selling body parts? I mean, if I am broke and have an extra kidney lying around, why can't I sell it? I can help myself and somebody else at the same time. There are long waiting lists for organ transplants, and this would speed things up would it not? If it were legalized there would be a lot of safety precautions so you don't have to worry about infections and such....I mean you still have to worry but you know what I mean. And it will make it more affordable, due to the law of supply. So why not? haha I have a paper to write for school and this is the topic I'm looking to see how I can counter arguments made against my claim.

People should have a right to sell whatever they wish to.if its there body.including there penis.and there relatives body parts if there brain dead.or just died.they should even auction them off .millionaires would pay millions for a huge penis or Kidney.This is a capitalistic country for Gods sake.cant people get that in there head?

3. I think the problem may stem from assigning a price tag for human parts. It also runs the risk of issue of liability, someone could sell a organ and then later need another to survive, lets say they spent the money they earned from selling that organ is private or government insurance supposed to now foot the bill because someone made a bad decision or had unintended consequences from their greed? Also if there is a monetary tag on your organs could the IRS or other collection agencies force you to sell these things in order to pay debt? Or restrict your eligibility for federal/state/charity dollars because of this "unclaimed revenue". Lastly what about those would not be able to afford this item? Are we saying that your life is not worth saving unless you have the necessary cash? I understand your point (don't really agree) and I know you were not looking for a “ethical” answer but hopefully this will shed some light on what your opponents will say.
