What are the comparisons and contrasts between U.S. and France marketing practices and methods?

What are some comparisons and contrasts between how the United States and France conduct marketing? Are there any legal, cultural, and political similarities and differences?

1. the french have to import more goods because they do not have many natural resources. but they export a lot more textiles than the united states. France isn't as politically involved as the U.S. with embargos, quotas etc. The french are also formal with business meetings, not like here in the U.S sometimes anyways
