What program or software do I need?

What program or software will i need to start an Internet service that hosts ,market, and sell online courses for students/clients and instructors. It will not be an "accredited school and will not offer degrees or degree programs. It will be strictly virtual classrooms , Experts at something can come on the site and register and teach others what they know for a small fee. What type of software or hosting program will I need to accomplish something like this. I will like the students to log in and find all of their such as their lesson plan, they can update their preferences and so on.

This is a very ambitious idea and would take a lot of setting up. you may need professional advice on this one as it's not quite the run of the mill type of project. it would also need a very large data base to hold the information. And there maybe a legal issue as well. I personally would seek professional advice not just on here to what others may or may not advise. I myself would not know exactly where to start or advise you as to where to start with such a project but I wish you all the very best...Sorry I could not be of more help PC MAN.
3. I think a programmer would use C++ and CSS to do the site on UNIX but I'm not 100% sure. You need to hire a web designer who's also a programmer.
