Guys, I need your advice. I have an offer from a company in Bahrain listed in Bahrain stock exchange in which Bahrain Govt has good interest through its investment company; salary offered to me is attractive and is around 2200 BHD plus Bonus and all other family benefits. Currently I work for a well known US MNC, but in single status and paid 14000 AED . I am currently located in Saudi Arabia. Can you guys advise me how is the offer I have in hand , I am from India and is looking for a decent apartment where Indians are around and planning to drive a CAMRY/COROLLA or Honda Accord in Bahrain or maximum a Prado. Not a lavish spender, wife will be with me , expecting a child in November 08, I am 29 years old( just FYI) I am a professional accountant (CA,CPA), whether there is any risk of getting my position localized in next 2 years( it’s a senior role) ,I am not really worried about loosing my job as I have a good market value both in GCC and in India , but only for own planning.

YOUR JOB MAY BE LOCALISED AFTER SOME TIME AS THE BAHRAINISATION IS HAPPENNING VERY RAPIDLY BUT NOT LESS THAN 5 YEARS .. SO DONT WORRY.. ANY HOW YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL YOU NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THE SAME .. AND BAHRAIN IS A WONDERFUL COUNTRY TO ENJOY WITH YOUR FAMILY WHEN COMPARED TO SAUDI.. FOR DECENT FLAT COST U BD400-500 IN MANAMA FOR YOUR LEVEL.. CAR MAY NOT COST U MORE.. BD 150/MONTH YOU CAN SAVE NOT LESS THAN 1300BD BYE
  2. Looking at the information given by you, you should accept the offer in Bahrain for: 1. Better quality of life than in KSA 2. Better Salary 3. Apts in Indian localities are around BD300-400 for 2 bed apts 4. The offer is good and you have potential to save good money 5. The cars should be available for around BD 8000 though Prado would be more expensive 6. The localisation would not be there for your position so it would not be an issue.
