Is there a market for people who are search engine optimizers, or is it becoming automated?

I was looking into purchasing some web hosting, and the customer service rep was telling me that search engine optimizers make pretty good bucks, but that long-term, it wasn't a good idea for a profession because there was software out that was getting better and better at automating the process. Let me know.

2. Absolutely, you can make big money as a search engine optimizer, but you have to have a track record of success. I talk to lots of people who say they know a lot about SEO but really don't know jack. There is software that's helpful at SEO automation but it still needs a human being to run it. Anything that's fully automated and working on SEO is also being actively hunted out of existence by engineers at the major search engines. FYI -- the big money in SEO is working for yourself, not for someone else!
3. Any reputable SEO firm knows that content is the lifeblood of any SEO effort. Original content and timely articles can never be generated by a software or bot. In addition, organic links shared amongst legitimate sources related to a site's industry or topic require careful human attention. Hiring a professional to modify and update your site on a regular basis to ensure SEO results is the only real way to create solid, profitable online marketing results.
4. The human effort plays an important role in internet marketing. Automation or using software need people who have knowledge on how to use such tool in order not get banned or spammed from search engines. No such tool can be used without an internet marketer behind it. In internet business and making money online, human effort is needed, knowledge and using effective link building tactics. Manual link building may take effort but it is always worth the price.
