very fustrated with trying to promote clickbank product?

Not sure what I did wrong. I signed up with clickbank almost 7 months ago and was trying to promote a book on autism. I have a 9 year old daugher with autism,so I thought this might be a good thing. I wrote blogs, newsarticles, hubs, press releases, did the social networks, placed ads, built websites around the product, brought affiliate marketing tools, and just about eveything else you can imagine. I also brought the book about getting free traffic and I followed that to a tee. I never made a sale, except for me, and I worked this consistanly every day. I've come to realize, this is just not a marketable product. I need to find something else. How do you determine which are good sellers? Everytime I find a product that looks promising, there are at least a million other people trying to promote the same product. Yes I did the SEO thing and the book just did not sell. That's why I'm looking into promoting another product. I did go through a whole bunch of yahoo answers about autism and answered them and suggested the book. Nobody brought it. What else could I try to promote? I did give the autism book my all. I did get some traffic to my websites, but it seems that people who want more info an autism, were just not interested in buying an ebook.

  1. I really see... I highly recommend that you use yahoo answers to market your aff product. I today have made $56.58 and i am only 14! Traffic is very targeted in yahoo answers and all you have to do is answer peoples question about autism and include your link! Hope this helps :))
  2. I'm assuming this is a self published book, and that's why there's no publisher support. Have you tried to connect with local autism parents and groups? Do readings at the library? Send a complementary copy to pediatricians? Where did you send your press releases? Try this again... rewrite and send new ones. Start local, then aim nationally. I'm no expert in book sales, but in business in general you are almost always better to start in your backyard and grow from there. If you find you truly can't sell it in your own backyard, then look elsewhere. As for other products to sell... way too broad. If you just want to sell stuff, go with a system that's proven (Avon, Amway, etc.). If you are looking for the "next killer product" to make a million overnight, it doesn't exist in reality. I would find products that you believe in, products you really like and then talk to the companies or owners and try to become rep for them. It seems since autism is so close to your heart, concentrate on that... what kinds of things do you wish you had for your kid as she grew up? What kinds of things would have changed about the stuff you had? Good luck!
