online job application questions?
Hello every1, I hope someone will be able to help me here. I am applying for this job I really want because if offers professional growth in terms of training. However, Im struggling with some of the questions they ask.... "What has attracted you to THE COMPANY and what is your understanding of the service that we offer?" I am really lost with the first part of the question as there is nothing in particular that I can say to make me stand out ...they are growing company, achieved good profits given the recent market turmoil, but I cant think of anything that would impress them.... does any1 know the impressive answer. Thankk you very much.... they are asset management company, open position for private client fund management trainee, their web site says nothing about policies nor their recent activities....

- Yes the CEO P.A. attracted me to the company
- look at their policies- see which ones you like
- What does the company do?
- Usually with questions like that, they ask them to find out how you found out they were hiring and what they are doing to make people want to have a job there, it won't qualify or disqualify you from the job.
- Do research on them what they offer what makes them a great company to both work for and buy from.
- Research the firm a little, mention how because they have been around since “give the year they started up” that its clear to see what success they are becoming and how you would love to be in an organisation that works in “blah blah blah sector”
- "they are growing company, achieved good profits given the recent market turmoil" sounds like a pretty good start to me. Shows that you not only know what they're about but how they've been performing in their market.
- Dude.. You can't find anything about this company? Are you kidding me? I'm able to locate information about my grandmother who has trouble finding the AOL button. You need to get creative. Do some public records searching, What I did, once... was learned about a company through basic searching... Then I did some major crap, and came up with a specfic campaign they once had 8 years prior about migrating to oracle. The key is, I was able to say: Gain oracle development experience, and they knew I did my homework
