How did President Bush's plan to reshape Iraq as a free-market paradise lead to massive corruption?

- I think that was the plan, all along.... Corruption in other countries is perfectly fine, if the US thinks it can subsequently control the participants through such.
- I think it was obvious (in my view) from the beginning that Iraq could not be won. And it was obvious two wars would draw the U.S into a depression.
- I agree they were better off with Saddam and his boys (the little princes) running the country. I especially loved Saddam's picture as the (the Benevolent Dictator) painted and displayed all over the country (Big Brother anyone) Oh yes....not only was saddams economic system better but so was he so much better at torture too ! He would dip people in vats of acid while their families watched....then rape their daughters, kill their sons and bury them altogether in mass graves. Made doing business with people so much easier.....especially when Saddam told them that he was repossessing all of their property and fortune for use By the People. Now that, was a fair and equitable Free market paradise.....! Be afraid 1984
