2. The best kind of service to offer is one you love to perform. Just picking a random service to offer is probably not a great way to go. But if you need a couple of quick ideas then how about: 1. Cleaning 2. Catering 3. Gopher - Errand runner 4. Virtual Assistants are very popular today The best service to offer them is one they need. That sounds obvious but it's not really. Think about it. Most people are looking to sell others something and if you go in randomly to pitch a service they may or may not currently need then you're more likely to be shown the door. Instead figure out a way to serve them and provide a solution to a problem they may have. How do you know what problems they may be facing? Ask them. Research their industries by looking into trade journals. The one common denominator you have for the people listed is that they are all professionals. What are some things that professionals need help with? It's usually the little stuff that they don't want to do that they are happy to outsource. To sum up, find out where their pain is and offer a solution and try to pick something you love doing so you are more likely to succeed. I hope this helps. Im not sure what "sort" of services you mean but I've worked in many many offices over the years, I'll tell you which ones I've used: 1st, if the building itself doesnt have a cafeteria or food is a few blocks away you should do FOOD! the last office building I worked for had no cafeteria, a woman would come by with an ice chest of salads sandwiches chips etc. and everyone from the entire building would actually fight in line for this lady because everyone is just too busy or have other things to do on there lunch hour to leave for actual lunch. I thought of doing it myself when I saw this lady walking away with fists full of cash twice a day everyday. 2.There was also a guy who would come to the office parking lot and wash your car, I used him twice I think. 3.There was another lady who would do general services. Arrands, shopping, anything you needed and charged per hour. I used her once to stand in line for me at the DMV!!!! She called me about 30 min before my number was about to be called and I was in and out. 4.Printer, fax, office machine repair. First find out if these are corporate companies, they may have contracts with maintenance companies already, but if they dont, and your right in the same building, I'm sure you'll be flooded with calls all day long. 5. MESSENGERS!!!!! Delivering, picking up, etc. Could be packages, gifts, anything. We were on the 4th floor at one office and would call a messenger service to deliver to another building that was right across the street from us! They always laughed when they did it because it was sort of rediculous, but when you've got things to do and something needs to get somewhere its so convenient to just call a messenger.
