Do we really have the 'best legal recruitment market in years'?
Why do people say that, for law firms, we have the best legal recruitment market in years? Is it because people are being laid off therefore there are skilled people out there ready to recruit? I'd be interested to hear from someone with knowledge of the profession who can explain this to me, thanks.

- some people think that just course the law firm that they are represent by is the best will every one is wrong no law firm is the best they are all the same.
- Actually jobs in the field of Law are drying up FAST!! This is not a good field to invest in!! Many reasons. Main reason?....We simply have WAY TOO MANY Legal Professionals - we have a GLUT!! ("Legal Professionals" includes, but is not limited to: Attorneys/Lawyers, Paralegals, Legal Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Bailiffs, Court Reporters, etc, etc) For LAW FIRMS, we have the best legal recruitment market in years......because there are so few jobs and so MANY skilled Legal Professionals scrambling for those jobs. Law firms, as the employER can just sit back and watch the potential interviewees scramble and jump multiple hoops, and they as the employER can then calmly pick the best skilled employee. So...yes....right now, with the economy the way it is, it is great for employERS. But it is hell for employEES. Law schools are going to feed you bull******. The law schools know the economy/market is SATURATED with too many Legal Professionals. But a law student is easy money for a law school - they have to make very little investment in a law student. If I may make a suggestion: If there is ANY way you can change your major, change it to HEALTHCARE! <this is where the jobs are! and scholarships! Good luck.
