Is registration of a Marketing company is compulsory in India.?

Hello I stay @ mumbai and want to start my marketing business.I also want to add a affiliate program,but is it compulsory to register my business as company or I can start without registration also?

1. Hello, It depends on what kind of business you do. As per the companies act 1956 all the businesses should register their company and obtain TAX registration numbers. as i said it depends on your business partners whether you want to register it or not. if you are dealing with street end barbar shops i think you dont need to get registered, even though you have to register as per the act.
2. Registration of company in any form , is compulsory in India as per companies Act 1956.So,the registration of marketing company is compulsory .
