If I pursue MLM,(multi level marketing), what will be a good way to get prospects?

a company has a service I would like to offer..I would like to offer it from my home as a home business opportunity...any ideas would be appreciated.

1. (1) The usual and most common way is to make your hot and cold list of people you come in contact with. Pros: Contacts already know you and easier foundation to make a business proposal. Con: If you are not careful, you may lose a friend. Make sure the mlm company is not a fly by night business. (2) Advertise in local classifieds (offline or online). Pros: You can a pool of targetted prospects. You don't need to beg people to join you. They come to you instead. There are many free online classifieds and you can save money in advertising. Con: Nil. Can't see any negative thing here except advertising in newspapers can be costly. (3) Get referrals from your already known contacts. Pros: You can good and recommended leads and via trusted recommender. Con: Some may turn you down (expect it) due to too many business opportunities in the market. (4) Set up a promotional counter. Pros: get direct exposure to potential / prospects. Make sure you are located at a high traffic area where people can see you. Con: Can be time consuming and costly. You will never know until you try them all. Working from home is not sufficient. Sorry to say this. experienced leaders will tell you the same or you will realize this fact in due course.
2. Depending on what mlm you were joining i suggest getting a cd or brochure and passing them out to neighbors or to friends. list yourself in the paper. join twitter, facebook, myspace, etc. and add your friends. also post cards are usually a good idea too. http://monaviewithme.webs.com/
