Im interested into getting into the Stock Market. Any tips or tricks that would be beneficial. Thanks

  1. www.optionsxpress.com I started with this website, while trading, you can check google.com/finance, the news are pretty good and overall I am satisfied with thier website
  2. Well forget about tips and tricks. Best to learn the fundamentals and do some reading. OK, one tip: remember the market is "discounting the future". This basically means it is no good looking at what is happening now, rather what might happen in 6-9 months time. This applies to everything, economy, interest rates, inflation, corporate profits etc.etc. As for tips in general, there is a saying: Where ther's a tip there's a tap. This means if you see a tip to buy shares someone is probably trying to offload them. Why not join an investment forum such as http://www.shareworld.co.uk You will be most welcome and hopefully learn something.
  3. invest in some decent books read it and then decide what to do next
  4. the best way is self experience. what i am doing... just start investing with small amount of money. when you are in market you'll find more interesting things.
  5. Open an account with an online broker and they will help you get started buying and selling shares. To be a success you need a strategy - try searching Google for "Dogs of the Dow' as it's a simple strategy that has been shown to beat the market. Best of luck.
  6. Investopedia free tutorials: http://www.investopedia.com/university/buildingblocks.asp
  7. You might head to your nearest library. They usually have several books on investing. "Investing for Dummies" is a good place to begin.
  8. Most of the online brokers will have demo or "paper money" accounts. You can sign up for these & practice your thoughts. When you can regularly trade profitably regularly, then go & create a real one. I like the one at Thinkorswim.com There are some great sites for traders such as.. finance.google.com finance.yahoo.com www.finviz.com www.seekingalpha.com & our site - http://www.thedailytradingreport.com Most of these do assume a bit of knowledge. If you play around with your demo account for awhile things will start to make sense. It's not free, but we have some recommended reading: http://www.thedailytradingreport.com/recommended-reading/ - the market wizards book is probably the most relevant one for someone just starting out - It won't teach you to trade, but you can read the words of some very successful traders & work out for yourself what is constant [hint: risk management & hardwork]. Using simple option stratagies is a good way of trading with limited risk - so the Options Playbook would also be a great investment - leave the more complex stratagies alone for the moment. Good luck
