Does anyone know the best way to sell an idea to a marketing company?

I have an idea for a product that would be new on the market. At the same time im having trouble finding a way to get my product known without being taken advantage of. I need help to find a legit company or CEO of a company to buy my product or contact me to have a meeting. Please give me the best advice to your knowledge on this matter. thank you.

1. do a patent research to see if it is already existing but not feasible to market. youll be surprised. i thought i had some origanal ideas only to do my research at u of m and went home sad.
2. well gary has a point there and other thing you can do is it depends on your product what it is and whats for you can call company's head offices and sell it out but be care full so they don't steal your idea and get a lawyer and get his advice it will help!! Good luck!!
