Free Market....Reaganomics?

Any examples of where a Free Market has ever been implemented to build or strengthen a strong middle class... I can't seem to find any. Even the top down, reaganomics ideas, that have been practiced in the US over the past 25-30 years, have only seen wages, go down for working people and productivity increase (people working more hours for less money). While on the other hand the wealthy have only increased their wealth, and increased the gap between rich and poor. Even during Bush's presidency, the top 400 people saw their wealth collectively increase by over 600 billion dollars. My 401k portfolio, took a hit., and worked more hours while increases were pretty low... not sure about anyone else. Is this the Free Market idea some in this country are promoting and striving for?

  1. Poor Republicans who work at Arbys support it because they fully expect to be a high paid CEO one day if they just try hard enough. Then they realize it's not to be and drown the sorrow in alcohol before smacking around their wife

  3. S O hey man you better wake up because the Democrats want that 401 k of your to put into social security system they need to make up for the money they borrowed from the now Broke social security system. Oh cheer up and don't worry they will give it back in payments after you turn 65. I guess they forgot to tell you about that idea but its coming. So keep voting socialist party (Democrat). one more thing there were more rich people prior to Obama being elected than now and more people working so i guess your right why work if you have to work harder.
  4. Lets try trickle up economics. The poor and unemployed can create their own jobs. Go open a business. Don't wait for the economy to improve. Just go open it. Oh wait. Where will the money come from to create the new jobs. Maybe from the unemployed. Maybe from the poor. Just think a little. What would be a good profitable business for you to open right now? Just ask some poor people for some money or some people who are currently unemployed. Before you know it everybody will be prosperous. You don't need a 401k. They are based on the stock market. Give your money to the poor people to invest for you or someone who is unemployed.
  5. No, 'Reganomics'/'Trickle Down' economics does NOT work!! The rich only get richer and the middle class gets poorer, widening the gap between the rich and poor even further! It's up to our current awesome administration, just like Clinton and other fine Democrats before him to bring back the posterity only enjoyed during Democratic administrations!
