I was asked this question for a paper in my marketing management class, and I honestly have NO IDEA how to answer this. The question also asks me to provide concrete examples. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS?? :/ THANKS

  1. Look at it like this....Ever watch the show Intervention? In that show it shows intoxicated drivers getting into their cars and driving...which is totally illegal.....YET LEGALLY producers are considered witnesses so they are NOT bound by the law to intervene. There are other differences between ethics and the law. Laws change over time. Laws vary from state to state. Most significantly, political and economic interests, and not the interests of the people, often determine which laws get passed and what is in those laws. Ethical standards, however, transcend time, place, and the whims of politics. So you can do something legal with a third world country and yet it not be ethical. To me the utmost standard should be ethics but some people don't care about ethics and care more about the almighty dollar so they will take advantage of a third world nation who doesn't know better...because legally they can but morally it is wrong..That help?
