Serious home based business ideas.?

I'm looking to start a home (or internet) based business. I've tried looking for something, but there are so many scams and fake businesses out there I'm really frustrated with looking. In the past I've been a research assistant (data entry, data analysis), did a lot of report writing and created tons of documents in my previous jobs. I also owned a property inspection business. Now I'm looking for something new. Any ideas are welcome, but I'm not into MLM or sales. Feel free to reply with questions and I'll update my question to answer them. Please Help!!!
