- It is a difficult and spam filled industry. Do your research and be careful. However some places are successful. Just work hard and do quality work.
- get in at the beginning.
- You have to sign up every family member and every single friend. And you have to get them to sign up all their family and friends. You are fighting an "inbuilt" problem. At some point you run out of people to recruit. So the real secret of success is to just avoid all MLM enterprises. Concentrate on businesses that seek out "buyers" for their products. MLM's always seek out more "sellers". That works to make them money but it makes it tough for you.
- the secret is success in mlm is in 2 things seek business which are looking for buyers for their products, as opposed to sellers for their products consistency is the key, dont' get frustrated if you can't recruit one for months, that is the very nature of this industry, you dont' get dough every day, but after you have enough people in your down chain, you are good..
- The secret of success is that there is no secret. It's pretty basic stuff. People try to overcomplicate it and that doesn't work. Here are some KEYS to success: 1. It's always helpful to have a stable company with products/services that people actually see a need for, aren't overpriced and can't already get somewhere else better or cheaper (not very many of these around). Most people aren't interested in a biz opp, but will buy the product/service if it meets these criteria and may become distributors in the future. They will also refer others who will buy and maybe become distributors. For some info on how to evaluate MLM companies http://nmreview.blogspot.com. 2. Use the system in place and plug your recruits into that system. The company and your upline should have a simple system that can be followed by anyone. The key is simplicity and duplication. I see people with all these fancy new ways of doing things or spending tons of money on advertising and some of them work really well in the short term. If it is not easily duplicatable then you will have no long term success. Everyone has to be able to do it and everyone isn't a superstar recruiter, salesperson or can spend a bunch of money on advertising. If the company doesn't have a simple duplicatable system in place then run away! If they can't design a simple duplicatable marketing system then they probably aren't good at designing any type of business system so it's only a matter of time before the whole company collapses. Don't try to reinvent the wheel; just listen to those who are already successful. 3. Leadership. You must be a leader. If you are not already a great leader than learn to become one. They system should teach you how to and you should also be modeling the leaders in your company. You also want to develop other leaders in your organization. If you don't then you will never get to that point where you can stop working and still have your organization continue to grow. A lot of people initially have success, but don't develop leaders. They end up having to carry the entire burden of their business themselves and burn out. Keep a positive attitude, set the example and be more concerned about the success of your recruits than your own success. 4. It's a numbers game. Expose everyone you come in contact with. In the words of one of my mentors "Some will. Some won't. Who cares? Next..." Use the tools you have available to expose people and don't waste time trying to convince those who aren't interested.
