Appreciation Letter help??????
Hello all, my friend and i developed a complete software for the automation of the sales and inventory management for a textile marketing company in the city as our summer project (APR-MAY 2009). The company found our software to be excellent and uses it. They have agreed upon giving us a letter of appreciation for the same. Can you please suggest a decent and good template for the appreciation letter that we could get signed by the company? PS we are in our final year at college and awaiting placement interviews. Hey, by letter of appreciation i meant a letter that my client gives me to certify that they are using my project and it is satisfactory. Basically a letter of appreciation for doing a good job developing their software. And since my client is a start up company, they do not have any templates for the letter. So we need to prepare one and get it signed by them.

- If the letter of appreciation is TO your company, then your company should not be the ones writing it. The other company should write it, in their own words. It would be rather meaningless to have them sign a letter that they didnt' even draft.
- A letter of appreciation should be written by you and your partner to the company to thank them for the opportunity and for them accepting/using your work in their business on-going. A letter of reference should be requested from the company to you and your partner with the knowledge that this will be used to gain future work/employment. If the client has requested that you write the letter- that is when you give them two or three choices of how it could be written. But- do you want a reference letter- I think yes. A reference letter would include both your names, the name of the project, the outcome of the project and an offer to accept calls to answer any questions the reader may have.
