3. Google has a translator. I've used it to translate some English poetry into French. I'm fluent in French. I just wanted to reduce my workload. My experience was that I had to backtranslate then forward then back then forward then back then forward 15 times before I got a French translation that seemed to me adequate. For business prose it might be simpler, but for Japanese, it's easy to go wrong. You would have to start by being very fluent in Japanese. Work with a Japanese speaker, hack around a bit with Google translator, see what comes out. That's the best I can do for you. The business idea sounds not so great to this MBA. First it's a commodity. Second it's something you don't know how to do, and thus couldn't quality control. Here's a better idea -- translate Japanese accounting documents into American style accounting documents. It's really just a matter of re-arranging the numbers. You would still need a Japanese speaker, probably an accountant in Japan, but you would be offerring a non-commodity (in fact a unique service) so you might have some pricing power if you grab enough market share at the start. A Japanese balance sheet has all the same stuff as a USA balance sheet, except in different places, and presented slightly differently. Same with a Cash flow report, same with an income statement.
