Affiliate marketing and squeeze pages ?

I was wondering if anyone has had any success using name squeeze pages on their affiliate sites? I'm considering doing so to help build my opt-in list but I'm afraid that I'll be losing affiliate sales. Anyone have any experience here? Thanks
