How is enhacing America's security with Amnesty so wrong?

With few legal options to come in through the system, many seek ways to go around it. The broken system has spawned a thriving market for smugglers and has generated chaos on the border. A seemingly random enforcement regime targets ordinary immigrant workers and families, diverting resources away from protecting against genuine threats. Millions of immigrants are unknown to the government. Unscrupulous employers have little fear of punishment for recruiting and exploiting undocumented workers and undermining their honest competitors. Immigration reform will allow more immigrants to come with a visa, not with a smuggler. It will require undocumented immigrants to get right with the law, register with the government, and go through government background security checks. This screening process will separate ordinary immigrants who have come seeking opportunities to better their lives from those who may be exploiting opportunities a broken system provides to those who may be coming to do us harm. Enforcement resources can then be trained on employers who flaunt labor laws and exploit undocumented immigrants, on smugglers who traffic in drugs and guns who are creating chaos on the border, and on violent individuals inside the country who may pose a threat to public safety. By getting ordinary immigrants in line for citizenship and prioritizing enforcement actions to target genuine threats, immigration reform will be good for America’s security.

1. And 16,000 deaths each year is not a threat? Isn't that like cutting your arm off just in case that splinter you got might get infected and require shots? If you want real security kill all illegal aliens on sight! Then we don't have to worry about them killing people in th US! A bit extreme so lets just get rid of them (AKA deport them) and we would be a he!! of a lot safer than rewarding them causing more to come for the rewards!
2. We've already been sold this bill of goods before, in the last Amnesty. They said all the same things that are being said now, and assured us it would only be a one time thing, never to happen again. And what were the results of the last Amnesty, it just gave incentive for MORE illegals to come here and wait for the NEXT Amnesty. First Amnesty legalized over 3 million. This one may legalise over 15 million. These criminal illegals are changing our nation, and our culture, without the permission of the American Citizen. And in closing, I'd like to add that these vermin are NOT immigrants. Immigrants are people we, as Americans, deliberately decide to allow to live here. These scum are robbing us of that right. They are not immigrants, but instead are criminals flouting our immigration laws, then flaunting their illegal status, taunting us, telling us we can't get rid of them. And every illegal that makes it here denies a potential LEGAL immigrant from somewhere else their chance of having THEIR piece of the American Pie.
3. Wow tony! I guess the theme of your article can be broken down to: 1. Even though the US allows more LEGAL immigration then virtually all other countries combined it is not nearly enough. Immigration is the main cause of our population growth and the ensuing shortages of water, energy products, housing, classroom space, traffic gridlock, landfill/waste options, farmland being paved over, etc. Some citizens want NO immigration. Some want fully open borders. Most want a SUSTAINABLE number of highly educated, law-abiding and responsible immigrants. Illegals do not fit into that category. 2. The article makes its case that it is too long, costly and onerous of a task to immigrate legally so millions just ignore our laws due to their wants being more important then our laws to them. Sorry but the immigration process costs money and takes time to ensure we only allow good people in. As it stands TAXPAYERS subsidize that process - so in effect we are being taxed to overpopulate our country while those who are causing all of this burden are paying virtually nothing! 3. It is OUR fault that then those criminal aliens are victims of others taking advantage of their stupidity. It's called Darwinism for a reason. Too bad too sad, but there are hundreds of millions of other people who have my sympathy before a single criminal illegal alien.
4. Enhancing America's security is never wrong however Amnesty only puts this nation at greater risk. Amnesty is not true immigration reform it's simply a way for the Democratic National Committee to buy votes.
5. You don't enhance the USA with criminals. But Mexico does. Fixing our problems involves totting guns.
