1. MLM is multi-level marketing...many times they are scams. It's when a company has a product (real or fake) and encourages you to sell that product to people within your social circle. From there, you have those people in your circle sell the products to THEIR circles and give you back a cut. The idea is that you will have several hundred people underneath you selling crap and paying back up to you - it's also called a pyramid scam?
2. if you have the right program mlm can make you a fortune. leads are just another way of saying you need people to promote your program to. donald trump has a lot of good things to say about mlm and just started his own mlm company so if donald says its good then you know it is. not every mlm is a scam. you just have to find the right program
3. a lead is just someone you can market to in hopes of getting a sale. Not all MLM's are scams. I have been caught up in one of those scams before. But i didn't give up and i found one of the BEST mLm's in the world. Its called synaura and its growing really fast. get on the fast track.
