What kind of questions to ask about MLM companies?

When I'm talking to one of their recruiters, what questions should I ask them? One of my closest friend got suckered in this yor.net MLM company. I feel bad for him and need to talk to him but don't know what to say. I don't think he realizes he is being brainwashed.

  1. Who is the end user? And who is selling to that end user? I've seen a lot of scams where the soul purpose is to get people to sign up below you and pay for the privledge. Why has the company making the product chosen to use this type of marketing? What is the payment structure?
  2. Here is a web site with lots of things you should know about MLM and MLM companies to make sure you know what you are getting in to: http://www.financialfreedomtrail.com/network-marketing-home-based-business.html
  3. The best question would be "how do I get you to stop bothering me". Other suggestions: "If the ability to market a downline was not available, would I be able to sell enough of this product/service to make a living?" The likely answer will be "of course, but you don't have to because you can just find other people too". The reality is that when you combine a giant group of people who are not selling enough to make a living, you merely have a large group of people with a tiny amount of sales. Where do you think the money comes from? Think about it this way. If you look at these things as sales opportunities and plan to make a living selling the product or service, then is this really a product or service you can make money selling? However, if you are not a salesperson, and you are looking at it as making money by recruiting other people, then you are merely joining into the sham of legalised ponzi scheming. Your choice...but you will find neither is very attractive since MLM products and services are so high priced due to paying layers of reps who add no value to the sale...and if you are fine with the recruiting ponzi, then its just a question of your lack of integrity. Best of luck.
