How do you start a MLM business?

I was just curious as to what it all entails to start one of these. Any information would help me to understand. Maybe if I understand them I can be successful at the one I have been online to do. Thanks in advance.

1. MLM's are all scams and the only way to be successful is to screw over everyone else you get to join below you. My advice, don't do it!
2. I am in MLM and it is NOT A SCAM!! There is a huge difference between mlm and a pyramid. Please allow me to explain. The difference between legit and not... is if the last person on the bottom of the totem pole can not make money other than recruiting then it is a pyramid. In mlm even if your the last person and you can not get anyone to join but you can still make money by retailing then that makes it legit. MLM stands for Multi Level Marketing, that is where you make residual income. 3. Your question is not clear, by starting an MLM, do you mean join one? Or do you mean to actually start your own company where you are at the helm, owner and Ceo of the company?
