Any demanding new technology in software market?

Hi I have almost 4 years of IT-software exp in Perl/Unix but I don't feel good enough to continue my career with these technologies. May be because I am not getting frequent interviews call for these. I wanted to learn any new software technology( tool/languages/framework) which is in demand in current market and could provide me a healthy package. Can you please suggest? Am I planning in right direction, what's your opinion? Thanks,

2. i was thinking about this the other day...seriously. i read that porn is the only industry on the net that has made money year after year since the net's inception. every other industry has lost or failed at one time or another.. think of a way to enhance the porn experience and you're on your way to millions. sad but true, eh?
