Being blunt to make a point. Tips are a stupid way to invest. If someone had reliable investment research that produced consistent winners, they would not sell it for small amounts. They would certainly not give it away. The entire premise is ridiculous. Read. Study. Take classes. Learn to invest. Please do not waste your time on tips.
I've never understood the logic here. But why is anyone with great investing tips giving them out for free?? As opposed to using these for themselves & making lots of money?? People that give out tips for free: 1) Don't know what they are talking about, or 2) are touting some stocks that are crap (and are looking to drive the price upward).
Even if you get a 'good' free tip - though that is an oxymoron - there is no guarantee that you will be able to make money. If you don't know the basics of trading or investing, you will make a loss rather than a profit. As Warren Buffet has said: investing is simple but not easy. All the stories you hear about how people get rich overnight by trading in the stock market are just that - stories.

Any really good day or swing trader will be very happy with 50% of their trades being profitable. They worry about what they can lose. The "winning" takes care of itself.
