Am I allowed to use another brands logo in an marketing piece for my own company?

I am making a direct mail marketing package to advertise my business, and I want to use another brands logo on the cover of it. I won't be insulting or putting down the name of the other brand, I will just be using it to help illustrate the point of the direct mailer. Does anyone know if I am allowed to do this without getting permission from them, or is it breaking copyright laws? I am in South Africa, so British/European laws are similar to ours here, not really US laws. Any info is appreciated, thanks

1. The logo is most likely trademarked and you'll run afoul of The Trade Marks Act if you use it without permission. Suggest you check to see if it is trademarked and if so, obtain permission to use. 2. the logo is likely trademarked, so the short answer is no, you cannot use it without their express written permission. A longer answer is maybe. If the logo is not trademarked in South Africa, there may not be any legal means for them to keep you from using it.
